Have an RV, no need for a DVR and would prefer not to have the heat generated in the small equipment cabinet. Have 4 tvs total that require wireless minis...what are my options today? Currently have a HR54 installed but it runs so hot due to location and lack of enough airflow. Again, have zero need for a DVR but require something compatible with minis...

See if you can find a H44, it’s a Genie with no drive in it.

Any ideas where to get one? Solid Signal, etc. all say it's discontinued. Know if there's just a new model somewhere? Or can they still be found?

Can you activate receivers you buy on Amazon?

Not sure, you'll have to ask them. eBay has H44s also.

Kinda doubt ATT would activate that. Unless the TS is still under the old D* account. If he's been transitioned it's not gonna happen.

H44 have been repurposed software wise with one tuner so they can be used for commercial accounts.

What's the point of using it as a slightly newer H25? Surely it would make more sense for them to open up all the tuners and let commercial accounts use clients.

Finally found a use for that thing, huh? Another dumb mistake.

Shortage of H25 is my guess.

    Wow, what a waste ....

Disable 4 of the H44's 5 tuners and scrap its multi-client support capability, just to make a single tuner STB receiver out of it ... SMH.
