I thought I saw a commercial last week that this package was free for 3 months. I went to log in to see but my account was disabled all weekend due to merging with myAT&T.com. So today I check and sure enough I’m on the new platform, but when I go to add channels or packages it just spins and spins and spins. I tried mobile and also desktop site.

Is this the standard experience when being moved to the AT&T billing platform?

    I don’t know of any.

I will be calling AT&T, coming up, because of discounts—and to see what may happen.

I don’t recall my getting them for free for any period. Maybe I did. Sometimes, they just itemize it as half off.

    Good luck, cypherx!

Short answer yes...when we were merged it took some time for the website to fully work as it used too. 10 days maybe...keep checking back and try it. Not aware of the movie deal, but you might try calling...I was able to add starz for 1/2 off for a year, just by telling them I saw an add on some channel....good luck!

It's certainly free for new customers, along with 3 months of HBO, Starz, etc.

I saw that too a while back but when I added it, it was only half off for 6 months, not free for 3. I always get this package so I kept it. I saw the ad in an email after I completed a survey from Directv about the HD Extra Pack.

I just checked on my new ATT account under add/remove channels and I had a free 3 month trial of the HD Extra Pack. I selected it and I now receive all the channels in the pack. YMMV

One thing to watch for with the AT&T movie channel promotions is that they may not automatically roll off after the free 3 or 6 months. AT&T gave me free HBO/Starz/Showtime about 6 months ago and when the guy set it up, he said they couldn't set it up to auto-roll off like DTV used to. Maybe I just got a bad CSR or maybe it's just AT&T being AT&T.

Mine didn’t roll off in the pre-ATT days, I always had to cancel online, then subscribe to the same 3 month free offer, all within 30 seconds of my time.

    Uggg, I miss those days.....

I just got a free 3 month trial today but I have to cancel after the three months. Who knows maybe they will have it free again. Check the add/remove programs section on the website.

It now allows me to edit my channel package. Though my big $55 a month discount comes off after this month and I’m not liking what the bill is going to be, so I canceled out of it. I think I will call and see if I can get a better deal on the phone.

Freeview for Movies Extra Pack on now, thru May 27, channels 564-573. Not the 3 month variety but it’s something.

Was called with this promo a couple days ago. I went thru this before and forgot about it which ended up rolling over and my getting billed for it. Ended up paying for it for months before I realized it was on there. This time around, I adamantly refused the promo on the phone and they added it anyway! Cancelled it again the next day.

I called to lower my bill and was offered nothing. Ended up just removing Starz and Showtime.
