    Same here!

I didn't notice what it was, my unit just rebooted and I was going to post it in the issues thread because I was paused for quite a while when it rebooted. I thought the pause triggered the reboot. lol

Hmm... Mine was in standby... Might have downloaded. Might be still downloading, might be confused. Isn't coming out of standby yet... I'm not worried. Just intrigued. :)

Download is done. Didn't notice anything new in the Satellite setup yet. Didn't have much time to check. Have to go to a meeting.

I rebooted to a searching for sat on 2 (d/l took place while tuned to a local mpeg-4 channel) Changed the channel to another local mpeg-4 and back and all was well.

    No noticeable differences here either..

A funny thought I had... Do you guys who field tested the -700 remember when one of the fixes we told D* to make was to fix the text on the satellite and off air setup to remove all references to off air? Talk about ironic. lol

ok, 0x81f4 downloaded today at 3:52pm MT. I have a live screen with the "Acquiring guide data..." popup.

Interesting... the "system info" thinks I'm running the remote with IR...

    Cheers,
    Tom

    I see this thread...

Checked the box and push was complete and guide data was loading. Everything appears to be working just fine.

Wife told it not to download  I tried forcing it and it pulled 0x193 so I rebooted it and will wait for it to ask again.

Wife is doing pushups now until I'm tired. ;)

Okay, the box is up, the message came back, and it's downloading.

Question.... if the box is authorized, why doesn't a force work on the new code? Just curious.

The box is still looking for the NR stream when you force, not the special stream that is pushed. DIRECTV can tell your box to look at another stream in the future, but hasn't done so yet.

    Cheers,
    Tom

You mean by entering some alternate code we could force it to look at a different stream? I thought 02468 was unchangeable ...

No, we can't tell it what stream to look at, but DIRECTV can send a data packet over the satellite that tells the box to look at another stream, such as a staggered release stream.

    Cheers,
    Tom

Mine downloaded at 3:52 while it was turned off. I didn't know about it until I saw this thread. :)
