Kudos to D* CSR department

    Since they mostly get bashed on here, I'll give them a "way to go" :up:

    With the nearly nationwide fiasco with NFLST on the later games last week, I emailed D* and politely asked for a refund of the first weeks NFLST since I missed a bunch of the late games, figuring I'd never hear anything from them. Well, might to my surprise, just minutes ago, a nice D* CSR called me back on the phone and after checking my account, she said she could either add a movie channel for three months or give me free HD for three months. I have been wanting to try Starz, especially with the upcoming HD Starz, so I asked for that. Now, I know that some of you have gotten D* to make your alimony payments because the wife divorced you because the audio pixelated and it made her mad (I exaggerate), but the point is that I was simply shocked that they called back and cared.

    I'll give them an A for effort on this one.

    That sounds like the experiences I've had with CSRs. I'm usually treated very well.

    Agreed, I'm usually been very happy with DIRECTV CSRs when I call.

    I have always found DIRECTV customer service to be top-notch. I just called half an hour ago because YES-HD is not available, and only had to wait 10 seconds after using the automated system to speak to an agent. The agent was knowledgeable and courteous, and even though I was reporting a problem, it was a pleasant call.

    I've had very good experiences as well. SOmetimes it seems like some of the rant posts are for another company based on my experiences over the last 10 years with D*

    I have never had a problem with a CSR and I have not had to ever wait more then 2 minutes to talk to some one.

    My only complaint is the automated system. I hate it.

    I had a truly exceptional experience today.

    So much so that I asked for the CSRs employee number, and took the time to use the 'Contact Us' email facility at the D* website to make sure that her efforts were noticed and appreciated.

    People are quick to ***** about poor CS, we should all take the time to praise, as well....

    Within an hour I got an email back, thanking me for the message, and assuring me that it had been passed on to the appropriate department - and then went into a paragraph about "Are your BBCs connected?" roflmao :sure: :lol:

    When the leaves grew in and I lost all my national HD :( I called them up and stated that I know it is only partially their fault :D that I can not see the satelite and the woman I spoke to gave me Showtime (yuck) for three months. My wife has found some stuff she likes on there bu I certainly would have prefered Starz.

    Funny thing too the CSR said to me as we were hanging up

    "Oh and don't forget since you have the HD pack you will also be able to see Showtime in HD"

    It hurt my stomach to type that just now.

    add me to the list of people that have had very good experiences with D* CSRs. I wish I didn't have to talk to them so often...but for the most part they have treated me nicely and solved my issues. That's enough for me!

    Almost always a pleasant experience. Most of them are very good. We've had too many "Whiners Club" card-carrying members on this site.

    Same here. I am probably a little more patient than allot of people when I need to call, however I have never had a bad experience w/a CSR.

    I am getting tired of the "I like the way you move" ad when you're on hold. I can't take that too much.
