Why 2014 and what are you basing this prophecy on?
NFL Sunday Ticket
Listen, the NFL isn't dumb, come contract renewals, those greedy bastards WILL get triple what DirecTV currently pays spread out amongst many. Who would turn down that down?
The NFL wants it to be exclusive to a single provider. DirecTV will have the chance to extend their deal before anyone else can even make an offer. They paid $4 billion last time. It's their most heavily marketed product/feature and probably their most lucrative as well. It isn't going anywhere.
It will only be with one provider. The reasons why have been explained numerous times.
If you believe that you're naive.
Believe what? Facts?
What facts have been stated? I'm curious to know?
As with many others, he can do neither even if he wanted;
He lives in an area outside TWC's service area, served by Cox or Charter cable.
You don't know me, either, and?
Trying to insult me by geographical location is kind of pathetic and desperate.
And very telling.
So, you are angry at Directv but you know everything about them and we don't know you. Is this the CEO of Dish Network?
It's been exclusive to DirecTV for about 17-18 years now. It isn't going anywhere.
I am angry at DirecTV for having to double up because everyone is greedy, but I've observed and learned a lot.
Come 2014 we'll see who's right. Personally I hope DirecTV pays out the whazoo and we'll all learn soon enough.
I was referring to inkahauts' situation, not you.
Really? Don't insult my intelligence.
I don't think anyone cares except for you. I perfectly fine paying a little more in a couple of years. You expect to pay more for service in two years. That's how companies make money. Drop all your providers and go over the Air if you don't like it or can't handle the expense.
2015 is when the current deal expires.
