    The way I see it is how much the Lakers ownership genuinely "cares" about their fan-base is actually irrelevant.

    With the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement with its murderous luxury taxes and increased revenue sharing, they absolutely need this multi-billion dollar TWC deal to survive and regularly field championship caliber teams in the future.

    What, exactly, are you saying here? LA may be many things to you Cow Town denizens, but it will never be apathetic when it comes to the Lakers.

    Obtuse trolling is boring, Mr. Bambler.

    I would assume that BILL PLASCHKE will not be missing this game or any game because he has a seat in the press section paid for by the LA Times. Bill does not see the silver lining in this situation. People may have to buy the paper to find out what happened. lol. He is not one of my favorite panelist on Around the Horn.

    Why in SD? Are you streaming and using the HDTV as a monitor?

    EDIT: Just saw on another post that you have your 52" connected to your computer.

    By the way, it's amazing to see how easy the shots come for the Lakers when Nash is in the game. Gonna be a great season!

    Yeah, streaming, better than nothing. My computer is directly hooked up to the TV. The great thing is all i have to do is click a switch for TV (HDMI 2) or for my PC click (HDMI 1).

    I would bet he has log in information for time warner cable. Which would have allowed him to view it via a computer. I didn't see the feed streamed anywhere else.

    Only to time warner cable customers at this time. I would imagine other providers eventually.

    There are many feeds available online by simply typing in what you want to watch and using the key words free and online. Usually requires Windows and you need to download their software. I might have watched it also on one of these sites. Not HD quality but watchable on my PC and HD monitor.

    I was watching the game live on my TWC HD box down here in San Diego but when I tried to log into the twcsportsnet streaming website it was telling me I was I outside of the LA DMA viewing area :rolleyes:

    Honestly their streaming site and IOS app has been horrible and very buggy since the channel launched on 10-1.

    Tonight's game was being streamed on the usual bootleg sites like firstrowsports and I had access to a private ustream channel that was password protected.

    TWC Sportsnets picture quality is broadcast in 1080i all the time.But tonight's game I would say the picture quality was not close to HD.But I also think considering they were playing at Fresno State's save mart college basketball arena had something to do with the poor HD picture quality.

    That's interesting that you mentioned that. My brother (who also has TWC) called me at the beginning of the game and asked me what channel the HD feed was on. He said that the game he was watching was SD (even though he was tuned to the HD channel: 403)

    However, the feed I was getting was a very crisp and clear picture in 1080i HD (also channel 403). Perhaps there were transmission issues with the local TWC feed he was receiving (as well as with the poster above).

    Sorry guys, didn't mean to leave you hanging. I was able to view it on three different sources. Even though i'm a DirecTV subscriber i still have Roadrunner for my PC. I needed to make a new username and password, but it only took a few seconds. As i mentioned before, my TV is directly connected. The game was only in SD but i will be happy with that. I don't know how long this will last but hopefully the two sides will come together because watching it in SD is like living in prehistoric times.....LOL.

    Yep ... same stupid message here;

    As with DBSNewbie no TV, but have TWC's RR for internet service. Had to reset my login info. but the streaming site still says;

    And I'm located right here in South LA :rolleyes:

    And TWC would have me give up DIRECTV and subscribe to them? ... :nono:

    Yes, I love the Lakers, but not that much.

    Just for clarification, it is TWC TV that I have not internet. I watched the game in HD from my TWC box, but also streamed to my computer for a bit to check out the picture quality (out of curiosity)

    I don't know about that. Time Warner owns the rights AND owns the TV station, so it makes it a lot easier to do online streaming. But they could use it as an edge over the other providers once they make deals with them.
