I live in San Diego and was a U-verse subscriber not to long ago. The PQ was one of the many reasons I decided to switch away. Their equipment was sub par. The volume button on the remotes kept breaking, persistent 5.1 digital audio drop out issue that was never fixed, and their whole home DVR technology was constantly slow, buggy, and unresponsive. During installation they ran a cable into one of our bed rooms and DIDN'T install a face plate. Also since he drilled from the outside in the cable coming out of the wall was not at the same height as our power outlets. We called and complained about it and the guy they sent installed the face plate crooked. So not only is the cable coming out of the wall not aligned with out power outlets, it also now has a crooked face plate drilled into the wall. I would also like to add PQ was noticeably bad during sporting events.

Unfortunately the product on that channel is bad. UGLY basketball. They will find their way, but they are long in the tooth, asking a selfish player like Kobe to yield to a true PG for the first time in ages, and another selfish player in the middle. Count me as one that is skeptical this is some kind of dream team.

DTV will have a deal done within 7 days. You can check my record here on other predictions about channels. Book it.

I'm so glad I pay DIRECTV $100+ a month and spend over $800 a year on UFC PPV just to listen to the Lakers on the F'n radio.

I have TWC and AT&T U-verse in my area. Please don't force my hand. Add the F'n channel, raise my bill.

    Love always,
    DIRECTV customer since 2003

No need for the name calling. You have obviously been unhappy for quite awhile and it's good you found something that can unshackle you from your television pain. Thank God.

Meanwhile, you can put this one in the refrigerator, the door's closed, the light's out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard and the Lakers have now lost 10 games in a row.

DTV might have saved themselves millions when they go back to TWC and say, "$3.95 a month for this pile of garbage? Get back to us at a real rate, not one based on hype". No thanks.

Will you be willing to pay for the 70% of Los Angelinos that don't want their bill raised because they don't care about basketball, let alone a really overrated basketball team? That's the other side of the coin here.

Nevertheless, my sources say within a week and I've been pretty good at nailing that stuff here.

And announcing that you're dropping D* for ScrUverse in this thread is?

    BUT BACK ON TOPIC...

I'm a huge Lakers fan and I won't lose any sleep over not having this channel. When it's offered, I will consider getting it though.

Interestingly enough, you know the HR34 at times has an anomalous capability for picking up or listing test feed channels. Yesterday when I was watching NBATV (ch. 216) and it blacked-out locally for the start of the Lakers vs. Portland game on my HR34, it went into an automatic search to find the telecast on another channel and strangely locked onto a channel 9732 merely labeled "*DTV" which has the programming for TWC SportsNet.

I can't receive the channel as it gives me an ext. 721 not authorized message. But I added it to Quick Tune to check back on it regularly and it continues to list the scheduled shows currently airing on TWC SN in the channel banner.

Perhaps this is a test feed for a possible upcoming launch? :)

"Credible Sources" said a deal would be signed Tuesday.
Similar "Credible Sources" said a deal was going to be inked within a few days between PAC12 and DirecTV way back in early September.

I've been pretty distrusting of "sources". If you can't name them and they can't confirm it without a reasonable doubt, the sources might as well not exist. The only source here I trust is SatelliteRacer. And Sixto, but he just uses smart technology to find test channels. :)

I noticed something similar too. When searching for shows within the iPad app, some of the results include shows that are on TWC SportsNet only. When I search for "Lakers", one of the results is "Access SportsNet Lakers". When I search for "Lake", two of the results are "Laker Girls" and "Lakeshow". If I'm not mistaken, the aforementioned shows are exclusive to TWC SportsNet.

See pic from DIRECTV iPad app.

    Lets get er done DIRECTV!

What will happen first? Our guys win a game or the channel is added?

Seeing that on iPhone too. When I click on laker girls, the app crashes.

Edit to add: also seeing Lakers Compacto.
