*sigh* I just hit 100 a few post ago after a year here!! :D

This field trial was a great learning opportunity for me as well as others ( i assume which I don't do often! :) ). Thanks to Smiddy for the Great first look, can't wait to work with you on future ones!

Ok here is the PI that was installed at my neighbors house on Saturday 5/24. (sorry took it with my iPhone) As you all can see it is smaller than the grey style PI that we got. Probably no bigger that a power block for a laptop or something similar. VOS stated that the SWMline uses lower voltages that is why the PI is smaller.

The smaller PI for the SWM ODU, are 21v DC. The larger grey ones (the ones we had for the trials) are 29v DC.

Since forum is closing, I need a new field trial to get in. Need to go play in the shadows some more. <cough>Slim 3<cough> or maybe a <cough> HR22 or HR23 <cough>, or anything else.

Mounting tabs are a good choice .. That was one of my biggest gripes from the SWM5 ..

I had some issues with splitters and cold weather a while back ( i think my posts are here somewhere.. lol) but in trying to figure out the problem I had the pi unplugged and the voltage from the hr21 actually was enough to power up the swmline at least temporarly. That had me scratching my head for a while :D hmmm come to think of it I 'm not sure if I got that figured out or not ... spring came after I changed some cables and relocated the pi. It's been fine since but its also been warm..

    Thanks again everyone

I suggested they provide a means for horizontal vs vertical mounting back in Feb. Feels good to see or at least assume they took it to heart.

Been a great trial. And this has been a great group.
Although I'm on the PC Media Share one, it's not nearly as much fun as the hardware trial. Hope to get the chance to do another (yes thats a non-subtle extremely blatent hint).
