So to summarize...
Adding Ovation channel
Dropping Ovulation channel
...Got it. :righton:
I gotta agree there. I kinda like QVC and HSN in fact thats where I do alot of my shopping since they seem to have nice deals at times on things I want/need.
Directv has agreed to start carring LRW next week in the Plus and premier packages. The channel banner is up on ch 261.
And there weren't even any 'massive' protests, like E* and Lifetime go in it.
Program banner on my HR20 says "Programming No Longer Available". Let's hope this is true and this channel is gone permanently.
I'm sure my last bill said LRW was being dropped this month. I never watched that channel, but I thought the title was funny Lifetime Real Women--as if some women aren't real  :rolling: !rolling
The Bionic Woman; I'm not sure the Bionic Woman qualifies as "real."
Does that mean the Bionic Man wasn't real either :stickman:
I can’t speak to the Bionic Man (Technically, I believe, The Six Million Dollar Man; but I’ve not seen a single episode of either program so no harm no foul) as my instincts swing to the bionic women side of fence. However, I would think, depending on which parts Lee Majors had replaced, that some people would prefer him not to be real.
I saw the channel at my friend & it's degrading. YUCK!!!!!!!
Hey I would have loved to be able to have seen Lee Majors in his prime in HD And while I can't remember how the actress spells her name; I bet the Bionic Woman would have look good in her prime in HD also
Go to Yahoo and under the news tab type in Directv and its one of the news stories. That LRW will return this week to the Plus package and Premiere.
In 1999 I bought my Toshiba 26" TV from QVC.
I for one am very glad to see this. When you read"We don't need this channel" is not the issue here. The issue is DirecTV needs to add all the channels they can to help distinguish their service from Dishnotwrok!.This was one of the main reasons I became a DirecTV customer so I say"Damn the torpedos"! "Full speed ahead DirecTV"! and"Get Er Done"!.
Sorry, but that news story is from the original launch of LRW in 2005. Look at it... the packages that the story says LRW will be in are Total Choice Plus and Total Choice Premier... packages that haven't existed since March of this year!
My R15 guide shows that LRW programming resumes on 8-8-2007.Also you would
expect to believe that if DirecTV was getting rid of LRW that channel 261 would not still be on the guide, but it is still there.
My HR10-250 guide shows "Programming no longer available" on channel 261 until 5 AM on 8/8, then "To be announced" out to the end of the guide. It appears that D* is leaving the channel in the guide at this time to alert the casual LRW viewer that the channel is no longer carried by them. I would guess that the channel will disappear from the guide some time after 5:00 AM on 8/8.
+1 I'm seeing that too. Good damn riddance to that channel!
