I currently have LNB SL3K4NR0-02 and use it with four feeds into my multi switch.

I have one HR54 and use C61K as client that feeds a 4K TV. For a whole host of technical reasons, I only use the C61K TV in HD 1080P mode, but in the future will change to a 4K setup.

Apart from simplification of wiring is there an advantage to changing to Reverse Band 3 Satellite LNB (3D2RBLNB)?

And/or you need World Direct programming originally from the 95W satellite.

Since the WD 95W feeds will soon be shutdown leaving only their duplicates on 99(cr). ..

I'm curious what the technical reasons are for not watching a 4k tv in 4k if you have a C61k client.

I have a centralized whole home audio video distribution system. Because some of the TVs are 4k and some of them are not, it's more reliable to only distribute the 1080 single until I upgrade all the TVs to 4K.

You'll need that LNB for when you decide to change to a 4K setup, but there's not really any reason to change anything until then or unless something goes wrong with your current LNB or your SWM switch.

Is your distribution equipment 4K capable? If so and if it operates properly there’s no reason not to turn 4K output on. It will only output 4K when it is on a 4K channel and senses the tv is 4K capable.

    Yeah ....

Perhaps the OP is thinking that the C-61K upscales all channels to 4K resolution if the 4K option is enabled.

Which it won't of course, but as with 1080p/24 format signals, it will only decode and display a native 4K/60 signal. Not upscale SD/HD signals to them as well like a 4K TV set or some other does.
