DirecTV sent me one of these things for my HR 54. I plugged it in and hooked the coax to my splitter that I know for a fact works. However it says there is no signal on the DirecTV receiver. I tried a totally different coaxial cable just to be sure and it still doesn't work. Of course I'm not using the little antenna that they send along with the local channel connector because I'm too far away. Any ideas what might be wrong?

It would be really good idea for you to read all hints and tricks from main thread "LCC"

Where did you plug in the coax from the LCC?

The USB connector sucks, wiggle it around and LCC info will pop up on the screen. I just got a new HR54 and the Tech had a hard time getting the 54 to see the LCC, now I just don't touch anything, Everything is working very good

So even though the channels are showing up in the guide it might not actually be getting a signal due to the USB cable?

The input spot of the LCC is where I plugged my coax into
