I actually hope they go dark so I can finally get a free LCC they seem to only hand them out if your city is in a dispute.

With 2 of 4 Wild Card games on Jan 4th and 5th possibly impacted for some viewers, let's hope this is resolved before the 2nd.

Comments posted previously soured my desire for an LCC.

The power of football tends to solve these disputes quick. But not always.

I haven't seen reports of an agreement yet?

Will lose my ABC local after 3:00pm on Friday. I got an LCC when there was a CBS dispute awhile back and it is all set up to pull in ABC if necessary.

Sure it will get settled and then down the line prices will go up and people will wonder why - because suppliers are wanting and charging more among other reasons.

My NBC local went dark at 7:05 pm. Here we go again. I'm so glad I bought a used AM-21 last year, best $45 bucks I've spent in a long time. Hearst and AT&T can have their little peeing contest just as long as they want to, I could care less. :D

I know that it is not a good situation for those that can't pull in OTA but I agree with you. Last time a dispute affected me I got a free LCC that I am using to pull in my affected channel. Since increased carriage fees affect the price that we pay I am rooting for Directv to win this argument.

Everybody should invest in a used AM-21 and a cheap antenna or, at least, one of the free LCC's. I've got my antenna mounted in the attic with no problems receiving the networks that matter. I can still program my DVR on the affected channel through the guide as if nothing's happened. I just get so fed up with this little extortion game they play with each other and ultimately us. The only losers in this deal are us and neither side cares not a bit about that. It's pathetic the way they blame each other and try to get us, the consumers, to pressure one side to give in so they can raise our rates.

In Monterey, we’ve lost two networks – NBC and ABC. I rarely watch either except for sports but – of course! – the playoff game involving the team I follow principally (the Eagles, as a Philadelphia native) will be broadcast on NBC Sunday afternoon.

Fortunately, I can access both local channels – as a “quad-play” Comcast customer – on my computer or Xfinity streaming app via Roku. I nevertheless hope a new contract can be consummated ASAP so other DirecTV and U-verse subscribers in my area (and other affected locations) can enjoy all four playoff games this weekend.

Channel 12 ABC is toast in Milwaukee DMA for now, but I got my AM21’s that take care of that situation.

Before anyone goes off on a tangent about AT&T's inability to reach a deal I would like to point out Dish is also in a dispute with Mission Broadcasting (sidecar of Nexstar) that started on 1/3 as well. After looking at the lists of stations for both Hearst and Mission side by side it doesn't look like there are overlapping markets which are affected by both disputes.

This web page is useful in seeing if you can get an inexpensive antenna and get your missing channels...
