    going a bit off topic...

I was watching an old Father Dowling Mysteries episode (circa 1989) and realized about half-way through that the hired hitman in the story was actually John Slattery (Roger from Mad Men.) He looks so different without the silver hair, but that voice is very distinctive. Plus he looks rather funny in all the 80s clothes.

Father Dowling starred Tom Bosley as a crime-solving catholic priest, ably assisted by Tracy Nelson as the young nun, Sister Steve. It's totally cornball, but kinda fun. The episode is from season one and is entitled "The Man Who Came to Dinner Mystery," if you care to look it up.

Mr. Slattery "got around" before Mad Men. He was Will's brother on Will&Grace IIRC.

John Slattery has been on our TV screens since Fox's "Dirty Dozen" TV series in 1968. In more recent times he had regular roles in the broadcast network shows "Ed", "Jack & Bobby", and "Desperate Housewives".

"Ed" is the first time I took notice of him -- he was basically the Pete Campbell of "Ed" (i.e., the character that the viewers would have most wanted to see punched in the face :D ).

He's very good in the movie "The Adjustment Bureau," in which he even has a "Mad Men"-esque wardrobe -- I wished there had been more of him and less of Matt Damon.
