All DirecTV DVR's use the same DirecTV codeset. The manufacturer is irrelevant for remote codes, you would select DirecTV. FWIW, the HR22-100 is manufactured by Thompson/RCA

    All -100's are Thompson/RCA

The -xxx is a manufacturer designation

    -100 is made by RCA/Thompson
    -200 is made by Samsung
    -300 is made by Philips
    -600 is made by LG
-700 is made by PACE Electronics

Actually, Audiovox is now in charge of all Thomson manufacturing operations. Same plants, different name. Audiovox now licenses the RCA name for home entertainment products as well.

The DIRECTV DVR does not use the RCA codeset. It uses a common codeset throughout the DIRECTV line regardless of manufacturer.

Yes you are right! The AVR remote can do a scan to find the code and it found one that works great! It was a code not use by any manufacturer listed.
