    Is said to be a completely independent company to service the recycling needs for all three as well as any others who wish to partner. The main goals center around creating economies of scale to handle the issues they all face.

    While not "geek tech sexy", it is a good thing to do, IMHO. :)

    Would this occur if not mandated by local governement? I don't think so...unless the companies have something to gain. I don't think that ultruism is their main goal here, but perhaps I'm being too cynical again. :)
