I must say I am very impressed so far. It looks and sounds great. It is 1080i and Dolby Digital.

Wow.. it was surreal to watch MASN yesterday in HD. I thought the day would never come. ;-)

Yeah, it was like stepping back two years and watching Comcast Sportsnet which had most O's home games in HD.

The only problem is we get only about six to eight games a month and that's it.

That does suck. I am wondering if things are going better than planned with the network if MASN may add more games in HD later this year. I don't think DIRECTV would have a problem carrying them.

And why is it they do the Orioles opener in HD but not the rest of the series?? Does the HD truck need time to rest before Monday or what?

I don't understand that either! Also, I was looking at 626-1 on the guide, and the info says MSG HD; what's up with that?

I'm watching the O's game last night in SD, and all night long I have to look at ads for MASN HD. I don't understand why one game is in HD and the rest aren't!

"Where's Your MASN HD?" That's a good question!

There was some discussion earlier in this thread about if there is just MASN HD or if there is also a MASN2 HD. The answer is both.

I just wanted to let anyone that will be watching the O's game tonight know that the game is on MASN2 HD (671-1).

Man, MASN is stupid. Why not just have all the HD games on MASN rather than much around with MASN2-HD when they don't even have a full time MASN HD?

Great marketing...make it hard to find your games.

At least this way it looks like they are already setup with DIRECTV when they start carrying more games in HD and both teams are in HD at the same time.

Never worried about DirecTV. They do a pretty good job, despite the nitpicking we all do.

As for MASN, I wonder if they will mess up other distributors with this MASN/MASN2 dance. Why not just call them MASNDC and MASNMD and get it over with. Make MASNDC the main MASN in the DC markets and MASNMD the main in the Baltimore markets.

Thats great for MASN viewers, just think in a little over a year going from no HD to full HD for Nat's and O's...

    Amazing :)

Note that these channels are changing to 640 and 640-1. 640 and 640-1 are already working. I changed my channel listings last night. Also, in my area 629 is becoming 641 or 642.

Great find Tim!!! I hope they come through.

I agree that the PQ is great. IMO I think MASN HD is one of the best HD pictures I have seen. My only problem with their HD broadcast is the audio sync problem that I have been having just about all year on the HD games. I am not sure if it is a problem with MASN or a DIRECTV problem.
