The counter napkin dispensers at each these McDonald's was McDonald's red in color, so this isn't the case of privately owned restaurants coming up with it on their own. These McDonald's, like lots of restaurants, had already been using single ply toilet paper for years. I am very skeptical about any savings garnered by using single ply toilet paper because when I see it in use, I just pull off twice as much and fold it one more time.
