Like I've said before -- I'll believe it when I see it.
There very well might be a mix channel, does not mean 4 games are on it if DirecTV does not reach a agreement for TruTV HD. The money Turner forked out for the package IMO there is no chance you see HD feeds for the TruTV games unless DirecTV picks up the full time channel.
I just signed up for direct and am worried about this March Madness / TruTV HD issue also. Hopefully either the tweet is correct or DirecTV will come to an agreement.
I already posted a photo of the ad. Why would they lie about it?
I'm guessing the Mix Channel will be like the current Sports and News Mix Channels... You will see the four channels carrying the games. You will be able to highlight each channel and hear its audio. And you will be able to hit select and go directly to that channel. So if you select the truTV feed, it will send you to the SD feed on channel 246, assuming a deal hasn't been struck by then (which I'm sure it won't be).
That's how they all work. When it is event driven they add a red button option that gives extra data. I'm sure they will still have their bracket game for the NCAA tourney.
Can't wait. I've lived elsewhere in the country during the tourney before and it just isn't the same. Filling out your brackets and tracking the games is just a part of life in Indiana.
Well, they weren't "lying", but as SR points out below (from another thread), things change and adjustments have to be made. Sadly, there's no mix channels or anything this year.
Yeah...I guess I should have waited until after March Madness to switch to DirecTV.
Does anyone know the reason that DirecTV and Turner can't come to an agreement for only the HD version of the TrueTV?
And ratings. D* isn't going to keep or add HD channels that have low ratings.
Directv isn't adding HD channels period! They are becoming a content provider joke! :-(
Right, b/c low ratings means it's not worth the money.
You mean right now b/c they simply aren't adding any new basic HD channels period! :-(
The way I look at it is if "Cheap Charlie" can carry it, there really is no excuse..
Yep that says it all!!!
Yeah, because that provider is doing so well financially & with subscriber numbers.
