    thanks again to tyrok.

So far I recorded 2 shows. Only one of them I remember the name of right now is "Military Toughest Jobs." The first episode subject to premiere on 101 Network is dirtiest Military jobs.

It seems like from my Google searches that series was created "exclusively" for the Military Ch., and not for any other of the Discovery networks. Anyways, here's to HOPING! that a HD version of the Military Channel is very close.

Hopefully this is a good sign that Military Channel HD will be a future addition to DirecTV's lineup.

Wasn't Top Gear shown on the 101? Being on the 101 doesn't mean much.

Hopefully it does mean new HD channels in the future but who's not to say that it's a stall tactic by *D so they DON'T have to launch the channel(s) in HD as soon as people would like?

Discovery runs Military and is also the BBC America distributor. I wouldn't read into this too much since BBC America content has been on there before.

Oh, I meant here's to hoping a HD version of Military Channel will launch soon/by end of year. Not that there would be a launch of an HD ver. (if it did exist), on D*. Hope I'm making sense. :)

Thanks for that info. I did not know that Discovery distributed BBCA.

    Lancaster,...
Instead of putting a few HD channels (that D* doesn't offer) on a D*-only channel for a day, why doesn't D* add these HD channels in their regular lineup? D* certainly has the HD bandwidth now that D10, D11, and D12 are fully operational. This it a little perplexing.

I hope too although I do not know if I want to see The Worlds Top Ten (whatevers) in HD after seeing all of them 102,367 times in SD

I think the BBC took over BBCAmerica in 2005.
