The same "proof" that we have to confirm that the new channel will be Shorts HD
No "proof" on the shorts channel but it was expected a few months ago.
I am content to wait to find out. I never shook my birthday or Christmas presents either.
He came and posted BS info for the last Festivus we had. Don't believe anything he posts.
I am so ready for SatelliteRacer to burst in here, and just end the speculation and bickering by telling us which channel.
Either way, by tomorrow we should have a better clue by Sixto's report.
Until then, keep unleashing the bickerbombs, and by no means stop attacking each other over a...... (drumroll) TV channel.
Yep... plus, we should probably hear something from Sixto in the next couple of days (if not in the morning).
I'm holding out hope, but I'm still expecting the channel equivalent of socks and underwear...
Though I'm perfectly happy (and in some ways, happier) with our current ABC channel, I am admittedly a little curious as to whether or not I'll wake up to a different ABC affiliate tomorrow, or if DirecTV will be waiting until next Wednesday (like Dish Network).
You do realize this is an internet message board (about DBS), don't you?!
I know this fact means that we don't have to behave like adults anymore. But it would be a lot nicer if we at least tried.
Unless it is BBC America (NOT an HD extra channel), I am not sure I care. Maybe I'll find something to watch on the new channel. Maybe not.
Socks can be cool too.

and I thought this was the missing chapter from Genesis, he does watch D* right
Boy SR likes to stir the pot! I looked into SHORTS and MAV...not something that would apeal to me, but hey any new HD is good HD!
Don't short change SHORTS. In it's early days HBO used to run short subjects between movies. They were very entertaining.
Yeah... there are several channels that could potentially be added to the HD Extra package that I might watch from time to time (most of which I bolded in red on the first page)... with FEARnet being the most interesting to me... but (with the possible exception of FEARnet), the addition probably won't be a big deal to me either.
Lots of HD channels I'm hoping for in the base packages, but only a few left for the HD Extra package that even remotely interest me, and... well, as I said above, only one that might even remotely cause me any anticipation.
Nothing wrong with socks or underwear... but let's face it, it's hard to drum up any excitement for it, now ain't it?!
I get pretty excited about socks on a cold winters night. That and my movie channels.
I live in South Georgia....
Indieplex and Retroplex would be alright (they're Starz channels), Epix would be alright, but doesn't excite me... FEARnet... well, there really isn't anything like it on DirecTV (Chiller doesn't count), so that's still my hope.
BTW folks... here's ShortsHD's website:
Not sure I would watch much on FEARnet. Not really into that kind of stuff much and we'd get a lot of bad movies.
I had Epix for two months on a promo with Fios. Sort of boring but if it were added for no extra cost, I would be happy. Wasn't going to pay for it extra on Fios.
Retroplex and Indieplex may be interesting. Both are on Fios in SD (I don't get them, they are on a higher tier than I have) but the listings look decent. Are they commercial free/OAR/etc?
Sorry to hear that. [Insert obligatory banjo music joke here]
Hey now! Watch it...
I'm not a big horror fan myself, but I like the channel. Definitely at the top of my list.
Retroplex and Indieplex are both from Starz, so I'm going to assume that they are NOT OAR, but are commercial free.
Kind of looks like a low budget movie channel.
