That actually seems like a reasonable deduction.
There was a general survey to customers which the fine folks here at DBS Talk picked up and extended essentially the same version to users here. The results of the DBS Talk participation is linked above.

I think he wants the DirecTV survey results.
Yes and no, depends on who you are asking. A number of people pay extra for Premium services like HBO, Cinemax, HD Extra Pack and expect those services to be bolstered, too.
For some people, sure it's accurate...especially those that don't subscribe to those Premium services. For those that do, they may view things a bit differently. Of course there will be exceptions to both.
There's been a spot for them for a long time....takes two to tango.
Choice & Family package subs don't get all basics.
3net launched less than 2 months ago.
Yes, the most recent launch has been with Premiums, where D* only had a few HBO HD screens and has bolstered that service as well as HD Extra Pack.
Remember all that bandwidth that has to be used for NFL and other sports that is held in that queue manner for a reason. Otherwise D* could add more but those channels would have to come down during NFL season on Sundays. You can imagine how many would go for that. Those other MSOs don't have to worry about that...then again, they aren't delivering NFL ST and some of the other programming D* does either. Tradeoffs.
It's been fun gents
Not everyone, I can do fine without it, none of their programing does anything for me, but I would be glad for those that want it, if we get it. :nono2:
As always thanks alot for the insight
<mod hat>I have to say that Satelliteracer does a lot for this forum and we should all be happy he takes the time to support us.
Your information is great value to us. Thanks.
Thanks, probably needed to specify non-3D too.
I'm just trying to remember if anything was added in the Non-Premium, Non-3D National HD area in since the WGN, Travel HD rollout about a year ago. I can't remember any. Just an HD channel that those of us with Choice Extra and regular HDTVs could enjoy without paying extra.
Do you have any insight on the logic of Fox Soccer Plus being a part time HD channel?
At $14.95 per month, being half pregnant makes no sense to me.
Thanks for all your participation here.
SR is a Directv employee who has been given the job by Directv to be the spokesman of the company to this forum. and and he has a responsibility to his employers, a responsibility which I understand and respect.
However for anyone to believe that ShortsHD is a channel that is being clamored for by Directv subscribers is pure folly.
If he worked for Dish his logic would be influenced by that company's policy.
I'm not changing providers because I don't want to deal with the hassle, despite my strong disappointment with the lack of significant additions.
If when Diirectv sees a reversal of its so far successful business model maybe the logic will take a 180 shift. Till then, grin and bare it
I'm sure the fanboys will be happy with the 50 new PPV channels that are added.
Once again...a lack of respect. What a shame.
Sorry, I have no respect for fanboys and I'm not going to pretend like I do.
Quit discussing each other...Take it to PM or let it go!
