    Long story short:

    AT 250 W/Locals
    HD Pak
    (2) 622 Receivers both w/L447

I've lost channel 410 Altitude Sports and Entertainment. I've had this channel since it began broadcasting. It's now gone from both of my boxes. (Yes, I'm viewing all channels in the guide  ) My sister and brother-in-law who live down the block with a 622 /L447 are getting the channel.

I've called Dish Network for about a week on this issue. I've gotten the run around.

Has anybody had a situation like this? Any advice or a special number to call would be appreciated.

I've lost channels before and got them back by doing a switch test. If that does not work, try doing a reset by pressing the power button for 5 seconds and then release it.

My channel guide shows that there is no channel 410 at all. A 622 on 447

It's a regional sports net, you probably wouldn't get it unless you're in the Rocky Mountain region.

could this be a hardware issue? e.g. an LNB going funky and not liking certain tp's?

Can you see Channel 6012 - Sirius Super Shuffle? Or Channel 159 - Si TV? According to Tony's superb Dish Channel Chart http://ekb.dbstalk.com/119list.htm, they're on the same transponder as Altitude.

If you can see those channels, my guess is some sort of database/Zip Code mistake that accidentally moved you off the list of Altitude-eligible viewers.

I'm convinced it's a problem at the account level. I took the receiver to my fathers house. Did all the normal tricks and still no dice. I can rule out this being my environment.

About three weeks ago the Altitude channel went missing. Called tech support, they said it was an issue with the TV station and they would report it. Two weeks later, still no channel. Emailed tech support- where they told me to reset reciever, do this switch test, point dish, etc. Still no go.

Then today tech support said Altitude is not available in my area. I live in Broomfield, Denver suburb - and I don't get the Regional Sports Network, that by the way I have had for years up until a few weeks ago....

So anyway, I have an inquiry into Altitude, we'll see what happens. I'd be surprised if they came back and said I don't get it here....then I'll ahve to deal with , yet again, Dish tech support.

Does this really elevate to the ceo@... level?

Next thing you know, we'll be using this for paper cuts and hang-nails.

No, but it frequently gets results from "the head office." It is not good to abuse it, but if there is a problem to be solved, as opposed to a "you folks charge too much for this service" "or "your installer's attitude sucks" type complaint, it seems to be a viable last resort but only after exhausting the usual remedies. And a polite, thorough email is everything.

This particular situation seems complicated - it could be hardware, but probably not. It could be simply an account info field entry problem - but not something a typical csr would be able to deal with. So maybe use the email address.
