Thank you so much for trying to help me. Those posts do not state how to log into MLB.tv on Roku. They refer to having an MLB.tv account. Since I purchase MLB extra innings from Directv does that mean I have an MLB.tv account? Do I need to get one?

I am linked through the MLB at bat app on my iPhone and it works wonderfully. Roku doesn't seem to give you and options to link to Directv. At least I don't see it.

I called Directv and they were no help, they basically said I have to link through the website which I've done. That's why we can watch on the MLB at bat app. Roku has us stumped.

Yes, with DIRECTV EI, you also get MLB.TV account.

I noticed the first two posts above said they first logged into MLB.TV with their computers using their DIRECTV or AT&T account and then they could get other devices to connect.

There was a link in one of the posts as to the page they used with their computer.

To be as clear as possible. You must have an MLB account AND a DTV account. You can then link the two together.

Got it, thanks. So I'll need to create a MLB.tv account without paying for it. Thank you

    Hi, Sandra.
It's a free MLB.com account you need, not MLB.tv, in order to link your EI subscription.

    Go here.

    Registration

PS: Cheers to Athlon for the link to the article. Very clear instructions.

I asked this ? In another thread but why does series record record the away Feeds ??

I set up a series for "Braves " and the DVR always records the away feed . I dont live in Braves territory so it's not a local black out issue ...

Should I delete the series and set it up again?

I deleted and re setup the series to record only "live" looks like it's set to record on the Braves channel now

I have the Extra Innings package, yesterday (Monday), I went to a friends house that does not subscribe. When I called up Ch 720, I was surprised to find the mix channel (none of the other extra inning channels show up). He has the sports pack, not sure if that is the reason he is getting access 720 in the clear.

It has nothing to do with agreements, like mentioned before, the part time bandwidth was needed for the NHL and NBA. This happens every year, the first two weeks bonus feeds of non carried channels and OTA telecasts are rarely available until the NHL and NBA regular seasons end.

There still will be some lingering issues in the evenings though until the first round of the NBA and NHL playoffs are over since RSNs also cover those games.

DirecTV is able to air CSN Philadelphia's Phillies game broadcasts, and SportsNet LA's Dodgers game broadcasts, as part of MLB Extra Innings. (I'm sure KyL416 can give more specifics, but this is basically because DirecTV's deal for Extra Innings is with MLB as a whole, and is unrelated to any contracts to carry channels on a full-time basis.)
