Nope. And I also tried the Brewers/Mariners game and I'm not in those areas either.

I tried a couple of different things. If I log on with my mlb.com account that does not have an MLB-TV subscription it is the one that gives me the message "The account you're using is not entitled to view this content. Please select "Subscribe" to subscribe or upgrade your account."

If I try to login with my DirecTV account it using the method you described it just tells me there is no account / password. And if I try to use the link to link my DTV account to MLB-TV it gives me the message that it can't authorize it. Like it does every year until game 1 of the regular season.

Also I fully expect to have issues getting it to work this year with MLB-TV since it will be the first year of MLB EI with an AT&T account instead of a DTV account. AT&T screws everything else up so I fully expect them to blow this one too.

You may be better off cancelling MLB on DirecTV and just go with the MLB streaming package if you have fast enough internet speed. Streaming looks just as good, if not better than via satellite.

If it was just me I would but my wife has to have her baseball and she hates the delay you get with MLB-TV. When she is online she gets info as to what is happening before it happens on MLB-TV by at least a minute or two. Also I have 200 mbps service through Spectrum but MLB-TV still buffers a lot. Well it did last year anyway. I can't try it this year until the season starts I guess.

Easy solution.... Don't be watching the game via the internet while watching on TV. You'll also have a delay between OTA and DIRECTV. Not as much of a lag, but enough.

I don't have any OTA so I don't have to worry about that. The problem with watching MLB-TV online is other people on the internet will be posting and tweeting things that you haven't seen yet.

That is why I'm not on social media or fan sites while watching sports. And I elected not to get score updates on my phone. I watch too many events via time-shifting to have a score update spoil the game I haven't watched yet.

I had a combined account and had trouble, a few years ago. They tried everything to gwt it to work and finally had to move me back to two separate accounts, DirecTV and ATT, to get everything working correctly.

FYI, MLB TV is free again this year with T-Mobile. I have the 55+ plan and this is the second year they have offered it. They dropped their TiVO app this year so I will watch it on my Apple TV.

My bill is due the 22nd of each month and the current bill period is Feb. 22-Mar. 21 with payment due March 22 and the charge for the first installment is not on it. Guess I missed paying the first installment by one day. :)

    Sunday night...

When I try to activate through EI and DirecTV using:

    MLB.TV - Authentication

    I get the following message:

Authorization service was not able to complete authorization at this time. Please contact your pay TV provider.

Yet, I'm able to watch archived games from today on MLB.tv on my computer.

But I can't watch on my Roku.

    Odd...

Yesterday was the first day i could not watch spring training games on my computer. It said that I needed to purchase the service. Then today, all back to normal, and I am watching spring training games. I do not have T-Mobile or AT&T. I only have EI through DirecTV. I wonder since I have had AB since it started streaming, and now via DirecTV, I am grandfathered and get all the spring training games on my PC.

Military, students, and I think teachers can all receive a 30-40% discount.
There may be others. Go to MLB.TV and start a Chat with one of their CSRs. Worst they can say is 'no deal for you'.
