Can MLB EI show NBA and NHL games or other rain delay stuff that an RSN shows in rain delays?

Right now CSN Chicago Plus is showing the NBA game on the main CSN Chicago.

On EI or MLB.tv? If EI, try refreshing services on the webpage.

Yankees, Mets & Rangers OTA games are uplinked on C-Band for secondary affilates, so it is easy for DirecTV to pull it down, WCIU is uplinked too but only SD, so guessing they don't want to bother with that. KNTV is not uplinked at all, so they would have to fiber it in, which I am guessing DirecTV (or MLB) does not want to pay for.

here's a question...why, even with the new deal, are replays and stuff like "mets insider" and "mets hall of fame" blacked out? i can see blacking that stuff out for non EI subs, but now that mlb.tv is included i can go back and watch any game any time i want on my computer...what's the point of blacking the replays out on TV?

i know that nobody will likely have an answer to this, kinda just a rhetorical point that even when doing something good, MLB still screws it up. selig can't leave soon enough...

I know nothing about uplinks and such, but obviously KNTV exists in HD on a spot beam for the SF area. Couldn't DTV theoretically use whatever feed they're using for that to re-re-route the signal nationally during games?

Any other DirecTV EI subcribers unable to watch MLB.TV games tonight, due to " logged in too many times" error message?

This generally happens when your log into your account more than one time at the same time. You can't have two browser windows of mlb.tv opened at once. Having said that I have had it happened because of logging into many times. It is generally locked for a short period of time. Then you can try again. It used to tell you how long that was and if that was the case. The time starts over every time you attempt before that time is up.

    1. I tried to log in to view the game and received a message telling me that I have logged in too many times, or am logged in on multiple computers, what should I do?

Please confirm that other people are not using your account. If you have shared your account information with other people, then you may be prevented from logging in to your account. If you are worried that others are accessing your account, you should change your password under your account profile.
The best way to prevent this error is to log out of MLB.com every time you are finished watching games by clicking the Logout button on the top right of any MLB.com page. The next time that you would like to watch a game you will be prompted to log in before the game launches.
If you have already seen this error message, and you are sure that no one else is using your account, log out of MLB.com, close all of your open browser windows and exit your browser. Next, re-launch your browser, and click on the game that you would like to watch in the Multimedia Center, where you will be prompted to log in again.

So does anybody else have a problem on the HR24 with the games on 721 on up just not showing up sometimes? They're fine on the RSN channels but all I get on the Extra Innings channels is the DirecTV logo this morning during the Cardinals-Cubs game. Usually after 10 minutes or so the games finally show up. But today they aren't.

    Anybody else have this issue?

Try a refresh on the directv webpage. It has cleared up issues like that before. Something about channel assignment to streams on seasonal channels.

MLB controls all content after the game. Therefore, MLB charges the RSNs a fee for use of the content that is based on the number of viewers. So they blackout these shows to Sports Pack subscribers. Google Yankeeography controversy and you'll see what the deal is.

I agree it is ridiculous. They black out things like Cardinals Kids Crew TV, a Mets tribute to 9-11, and even Stan Musial's funeral.

Wonder why there's no Blue Jays feed tonight? Weird. I'll catch it on MLB.tv

Not that I care one whit about missing the Blue Jays feed tonight, but....

I've always wondered why 29 channels are dedicated to EI, when there is the potential for 30 feeds on any given day.

I've always wondered that too. Do the other leagues have less than 30 channels?

Just a heads-up. Wednesday's D-Backs vs Brewers game is not being televised by either FS Arizona or FS Wisconsin so it will be on MLB.tv only.

It is listed in the guide on MLB Network as well. The guide indicates the MLBN Alternate feed will be active as well (since there will be 2 games televised; Los Angeles Dodgers at Washington Nationals / Arizona Diamondbacks at Milwaukee Brewers).

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but I really like that they are including (team broadcast) next to the game. I always watch the games an hour delayed and last year I would have to guess which feed was for my team and which one was the other. So far with that little description there has only been one game that taped wrong, and I had scheduled that one a week in advance when that info was missing.

Agree, that is nice. Although I'm pretty sure the last few years they've always put the visiting team first and the home team second when they had both feeds.

This Saturday marks the first week of regional baseball on FOX OTA with the new "non-blackout" rules in place.

They are advertising 3 games to be shown at 7:00EDT.

    And great news!

All 3 already appear in the EI schedule

    Cards @ Reds - 742
    Royals @ Angels - 743
    Nats @ Pirates - 744

I'm guessing the game beamed on my FOX station will be blacked out on EI, but finally, FINALLY we can choose!

So are people in central Missouri going to get screwed out of one of the games? I'm pretty sure the Cardinals and Royals both claim that territory.
