You are in Woodbine? You won't be able to watch the Nats on your iPhone via MLB.tv. Local teams are blacked out.

More Vegas FOX / EI problems today.

For some reason, the FOX affiliate took Sox v Yanks, so naturally Cards v Dodgers was blacked out on EI, while Sox were in the clear.

    How tough can this be?

That makes no sense. You should have at least been blacked out of the Sox-Yanks game on EI. Very weird. You're in the Dodgers territory though, so you were always going to be blacked out of that one.

The new FOX Saturday Baseball / EI agreement has nothing to do standard EI regional blackouts.

Like NFL ST, if FOX is showing 4 MLB games regionally, we should all get 1 game on the OTA affiliate, and the other 3 on EI. Period.

That's the agreement...no games blacked out no matter where you are.

Again, how tough should this be?

FOX Saturday Baseball in Vegas continues to amaze.

Our OTA FOX picked up Bucs v Reds.

All 3 games went live on the EI channels at 4:10

At 4:30, in the middle of an at bat, channel 742 - Angels v Rangers - went black and up came the blackout message.

For the umpteenth time, how difficult can this be?

Oddly here in Texas we were getting the Rangers game clear on 742 (as well as our local Fox) and it went off then, too.

I get FOX 5 from DC and FOX 43 from Harrisburg/York PA. Tonight both are showing Washington vs Philly. So why are the Pirates and Reds blacked out for me on EI? I could understand it being blacked out IF I could watch that game on one of my FOX locals....but I can't.
But I do get the Washington vs Philly game on 743 so I can watch that game on 3 channels tonight but can't see the Pirates and Reds?

There are still wrongful blackouts happening. Last night the Pirates @ Reds game started out fine then it got blacked out for me. Couldn’t watch the end of the game.

Aren't you claimed in part by the Angels? If so why on earth did your local pick up that other game instead of the Angels game? That would seem to be the start of the issue.

Affiliates are free to choose the FOX Saturday game they want to carry.

    They chose Bucs - Reds.

It's just poor communication between FOX and MLBEI on individual market distribution.
    I honestly don't think it's a DirecTV issue,

I read that there was a Lawsuit pending in the courts that is supposed to be taking on sports blackouts. Does anyone have any updated information about it. I think I read on a web site that it was Senator John McCain who introduced a Bill to end the Blackouts. It would be good if they’d rule to end all sports blackouts especially for those of us who are shelling out the money every year to buy these sports packages.

The sports blackouts he was going after were not the regional ones like being discussed here. They were the non-sellout blackouts. Lots of noise over practically nothing because this only applies to NFL home games. I know of no other sport that does non-sellout blackouts.

Yes but.. Maybe DIrectv figures they would show the game that involves a team that claims that region and that is where the issue starts...

You would never see the Cin game instead of theAngels game in LA

I appreciate the free preview until 7/24, but why is the Mix Channel still blacked out with the usual "not subscribed" message being shown?

With MLB-TV now included with EI, and if it is next year, I will switch back to EI. I miss the pre and after game shows and actually prefer the commercials instead of the dead space between innings. But I will still use MLB-TV while on the road.

Hope DirecTV also includes Game Center with Center Ice and I will will switch back to it this fall.

    Sherman...
Whatever device you're using for MLB.tv, you're lucky if you're not seeing their repetitive set of commercials during inning breaks -- I see them on both computers and when watching through my Apple TV.

I'm assuming you realize this, but for the benefit of other people reading the thread: you'd need MLB Extra Innings plus the Sports Pack in order to get the games and the pregame and postgame shows through DirecTV.

"Coming up on Rays Live, the postgame, brought to you by Checkers..."
