It is possible that the local station was using the FSN graphics even though it was only on OTA.
you're probably selling yourself short - I bet you could get the Twins games for all of Lacrosse, while selling them a new PA for the Metrodome in 3 weeks time
Boo freakin hoo, enough whining just take what you get and stop the conspiracy theories.
We all are under the same rules, just because you live in a borderline town that has problems with blackouts doesn't entitle you to tell us all D* lies, I have ZERO complaints about their service
You wanna eat a crap burger go get some cable, sounds like you're pretty dissatisfied, poop or get off the pot man
Do you have a DOG IN THIS FIGHT? No..
then unless you know what you are talking about, go and take a ride down route 66.
You are sticking your nose in something that it is obvious that YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. Zero.
until you have something to truly contribute to this discussion.. go and have a good time with your self.
I hate people who quote themselves. How frakin' pretentious!
DirecTV, Major League Baseball, the Twins and the Brewers have announced today that they have entered in to a conspiracy to target certain individuals to see to it that they do not receive the game broadcasts.
The announcement said:
"I is in the best interests of all parties involved to block delivery of these broadcasts to some individuals. particularly those known to do nothing about it but complain to the wrong parties. We have observed that these individuals even when given approaches to resolve their problem, would rather moan about it than do anything constructive. We find it to be enormously entertaining."
its so nice that everyone here tries to help and assist you along the way..
that's its us, little guys against the big company..and that when we pull together we can get things changed so that all of us can prosper.. and that while one of us may not have a problem today, tomorrow it may be a different story.. so that we know that we, too, will be assisted when its our turn to be under the gun
so thanks again for your deep support.
You need to depersonalize and attack! Your bellyaching how you think you’re being treated by Direct or the Twins won’t get you far around these parts. (or with Direct and the Twinkies for that matter.) You need to facilitate the correction of the mistake via mail and follow up calls. As stated above, it shouldn’t take more than a month if the issue is legit.
Remember, people enjoy helping nice people. Good luck!
Again, the game was not available on Fox Sports Wisconsin. FSW did not have the rights to carry Saturday's game, because it was carried on a local channel - WMLW
You are most welcome for that helpful information.
FSN Wisc isn't even a real channel, just used to put games on regionally, not sure how there is any complaint at all here
What gets me here is the problem is so very obvious.
Major League Baseball says that Lacrosse is NOT a Twins market. Period. End of story. And what MLB says is what DirecTV has to follow.
I don't care what the Twins say. They may claim Lacrosse as part of their home market, but someone forgot to tell those in charge, the MLB, of this fact. What one needs to do when talking with their contact at the Twins is to point out that MLB says that Lacrosse isn't part of their home market. And thus the Twins need to talk to mom and dad at the MLB offices to get this corrected. And once they do that then viewers in Lacrosse on DirecTV and Dish will be able to watch Twins games.
So simple yet so misunderstood it seems....
AS for Scott's problem with the Brewers, that one looks to be a zip code issue if literally everyone around him on all sides gets Brewers and he doesn't. Here I would bark up the similar tree and see what the Brewers claim for his zip code. If they don't claim it then that's why, end of story unless he can get them to claim it. If they do claim it then it's up the tree to the MLB and see if they have his zip code properly defined in the database (which is given to DirecTV). If it's incorrect then they need to correct it and get it to DirecTV. If it is correct then DirecTV has a mistake on their end for the zip code and MLB needs to be asked to get that corrected. The MLB map only goes into so much detail and doesn't get down to the nitty gritty of zip codes. Since it appears his whole area is indeed claimed then that leads me down the path of the zip code issue.
I called MLB this morning. Here is what I got.. I will pass the message along. I said does this mean its going to go into the circular file? and she said.. I don't know, I will just pass it along.
What really needs to happen is that you need to somehow get someone in the Twins office to realize that the MLB doesn't agree with them in terms of what their home market is and to realize that they need to get the MLB to update their maps and database so that the Twins can properly get the viewers they are supposed to. Then the Twins can push it up the chain and get a lot more traction then you will.
So did you get her name??? I would call everyday and ask for her and see how things are going. EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!! Plead your case. Give her name to the Twins and let them know you have been talking to the MLB offices. But bjlc it needs to a constant push on your side.
I told you a year ago to give me your zip and I would would call and push on your case also. I will help you, for your sanity and for the sanity of a few of us on this board.
I want you to see the Twins, there playing good Baseball this year.
the LaCrosse Zip code is 54601`
Normally when the games are on WMLV they are also simulcast on FSN Wis..
thanks Scott for the assistance.
did you call the number that I sent to you?
this noon time, Directv was running the repeat of the twins game last night.. Now , MLB is supposed to be 'free " right now..
well guess what, Program not available in your area. No game.
I wouldn't get this even IF I subscribed to E.I.
for a team less then 150 miles away.. maybe only 125 miles away..
