    He meant web for everyone.

Doubt it would happen as contracts limiting to carriers already live are in existence. I don't see them agreeing to it.

And beIN on line went dead once the channels went live. PAC 12 Net is already live.

I guess that means that we can rule @BusterAvis out as being the "Secret Swanni."

Actually I just called DirecTV, and the CSR told me that she heard something just recently tonight in the call center from a few others that it "might" be done, and that she couldn't guarantee it yet but that they got some positive information on it. I then told her that CSR's wouldn't know anymore about this than a random customer would until it becomes official, and then she laughed and said "then why did you call in about it then?" I told her I read some buzz online and wanted to check. She said, "well there's buzz now in here for the first time that we may just have this network, but i can't assure we have it just yet, but that could be a good sign".

I asked her what channel it would be on if the buzz were true and she didn't know.
This is just one big gigantic circle. Get the deal done please, I'm tired of the jerking around.

Call in yourself and see if you get the same thing or something similar.
I called the regular customer service # from their website (not the Retention #). I wasn't even on hold that long. So props to them for that, but I don't want "buzz" right now, I want concrete information.
I guess they wouldn't know all the facts until a deal is done of course, but still.

Today ESPN agreed to pay MLB 94% more per year for a slate of games starting in 2014. About six months ago CBS, NBC and Fox agreed to pay NFL 61% more per year, also starting in 2014.

And so many of you want your PayTv provider to carry the Pac 10 (Beat Cal!!!!) regardless of cost.

Don't be shocked if we're be paying 25% more per month within a couple of years. And this with the implied annual inflation rate (from Treasury TIPs) of 2.1% over the next decade.

Well, sometimes it's good to call in to get the entertainment of their answer (because they usually don't know jack), but it was the way she said the word "actually" when I first asked her, almost told me that she found something out tonight.
She was like "um, actuuuually, we might be getting that as of what i heard tonight but that's all I can say, and i can't assure you we have it just yet though".

It was that sort of thing, as best verbatim as I can recall.
So maybe she really did hear something official.
Or maybe she was just messing with me.
    Who knows.

We ALL know...and you could somehow come up with the most credible information possible and no one would listen...(the comment that was to go here was somehow pre-edited...I don't know how I did that...)

I wonder if they won't add the main channel in as hd on one location and then make all the regionals -1 -2 etc for that same channel number and only available in hd. Make the national available to everyone and the regionals only in the PAC 12 package.

That's tonight's wag from me. !rolling

AMC showed, just for Dish Network subscribers, some TV shows online - I forgot which ones - after AMC was dropped from Dish. Why can't the Pac 12 opens up the online gates for week 1? Is it any different than, say, the NBA/NHL/MLB freebies we all get 2x a season? Or the Red Zone Channel(not the Directv one) available to everyone also 2x/season? I actually think, by doing this, PAC 12 would be saying: "Do you love what you sampled so far? Then call your TV provider and Demand Pac 12 nets - or join a provider that's already carrying it".

New contracts are pretty specific on streaming rights. The PAC 12 network was built with streaming in mind. I would be stunned if the PAC 12 could do that unilaterally. Comcast et al would not allow it as I am sure that digital rights are in their contracts.

    AMC contracts are older.

All your examples are through the carriers.

Great idea! Now, I wonder if things will happen tomorrow.

Anyone know when NBC Sports network heads to 220? I know it's been talked about and now written about a few places. Maybe both will happen at the same time??
