With a swm setup will an existing h10 unit that only feeds a sling box still function? Also does Ick setup require its own cable or can it be split to share with a receiver.

The only way to get your H10 to stay functioning is to request and pay for a SWM 16 Multiswitch with legacy ports on it.

It will not have MRV obviously but will still function.

The legacy ports function exactly like an old style 4 line dish. If you have more than 8 tuners currently, (1 tuner per hd/standard, 2 tuner per dvr) then you will get the SWM 16 included with your MRV upgrade.)

Are they still making those. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure we transitioned to all SWM 16.

We don't really have a need for SWM 8's any longer.

Now if you want to do your own upgrade, you can always get a SWM8 elsewhere.

SWM8's are still necessary for those using an international dish, although I suppose you can use the SWM16 for that as well.

Yea true. But I think they are phasing them out like the powered 4x8.

Can the line to the deca for the internet connection be split and used to feed a receiver as well or must a second line be run.

Yes, any line on a SWM system can be split.

Mostly true. If the line has already been split you have to be careful... too many splits can cause problems.
