Yeah! There should be a way to get Media Share to do this.

XM easily. Music Choice was so repetitive.

I have Sirius though so both suck compared to Sirius, imho.

XM works great in my vehicle, but for D l liked the music channels better. But I must admit I didn't listen too much to them when they were on D either. I don't need music on my TV. After all the Radio came first :D

I selected Music choice plus when we had D we didn't like xm and we don't like Opie and Anthony for personal reasons. I thought the overall variety of choices is not as good as Sirius. D should have used both like E has muzak and SiriusMax.

I never used the music channels that much, but I preferred MC (channel names were more descriptive too, IIRC). And when I first heard XM with the DJs, I'm like, "Now we have to listen to the same morons as on the local FM stations?" :(

But yeah, why not have both?

music choice, because it tells different things about the artist, song, and what year it was made, much more info than xm music

XM by a longshot. It's not even a contest.

XM in one vehicle, Sirius in the other. I drive the one with XM for MLB games and the one with Sirius for its music. I don't listen to any channels with talk (except MLB) and switch channels as soon as I hear a voice.

XM, though it rates a BFD because for the bulk of my listening I use the lossless files on my MCE 2005 PC. But, XM seems to have a lot bigger catalog to choose from judging by the stations I listen to and their equivalent on MC.

If you'd listen, most of XMs DJs add to the station, not take away from it. These are certainly not the same idiot DJs as on local radio.

The facts Music Choice puts up are interesting, but for listening for more than a minute my TV goes off. Last thing I want is the Music Choice logo and the channel logo burned into my TV. DirecTiVos never displayed the MC info like other receivers. And now Music Choice also cycles photos of the artist/band currently playing.

    XM because of Chrome.

Music Choice on Directv didn't have a disco station.

yes.. I still enjoy listening to disco :)

I've got Sirius on DISH and XM on my directv receiver and personally I perfer the Sirius channels to XM everytime. They have better sound and more genres to choose from on 80s music , New Wave etc. I only wish I had Sirius on my cars instead of XM.

I don't listen to any of them from home, got plenty of music on the pc for that. I had XM in my truck but got Sirius for the NFL. I absolutely LOATHE the Sirius Djs they talk for no reason, XM was much much better, I hope they do merge so I can have XM music and NFL from Sirius. The Sirius djs are recorded, not even live, at least the few times i heard a dj on XM they were actually live.

Yeah they did, sorta. Disco is on the Showcase Channel but not 24/7. It's shared with Classic Rap.

I always turn my TV off when listening to music. And doesn't MC now have their images and logo change places around the screen every few seconds as they display new information about the artist?

Actually Sirius is more "live" than XM. I talked to a DJ over there that said they they are live during the day most of the time. In fact they will often mention the time as the speak. But with computers, they can easily record their speaking along with their mentioning what time it is and not actually be live. They would record their "live" stuff all at the same time. That's what I did at my local AM oldies station when I worked there. Most AM/FM stations nowadays do that as well. There is rarely anyone "live" behind the mic anymore on radio unless it's talk radio. It's all done by computers. It's cheaper that way.

It depends on the market. In the bigger markets, the only time where any station might be voice tracked is overnight and weekends. During the day, they are always live.

I really liked the MC channels better. I can certainly live with XM since there is no choice for an alternate. O&A make XM worthiwhile that is for sure.

Either way I would like to have some true 5.1 audio channels.

The Music Choice and channel logos are static. The background images are various pictures of the artist or band currently playing and those change. There is also a little information box that says things like ‘Check Out Music Choice On Demand on ChXXX’ or ‘Log on to musicchoice.com to check out an interview with xxx’. While the info in the box changes the box stays there and the outline of it could cause burn in as well.
