    Partly clear and mid-50's here.

My AM21 showed up just before noon today. Installation and setup was a snap, although previous comments about installation taking you through the rest of the HR21 setup are applicable. I knew when and how to bail but that could be very confusing for someone adding an AM21 to an already activated HR21 who isn't familiar with the process.

No USB cable, but I would expect production versions would include one.

Seems to work just fine, get's all the same ATSC stations my TV gets and appears to be better than the HR20 ATSC tuners.

It was V E R Y slow doing the guide download, with frequent long pauses. It also took a very long time when I first entered my zip code to find my local market. I realize that is a function of what is and isn't in the guide, and not of the AM21 itself, but could be an issue/concern for the unfamiliar.

Carl, yours didn't come with a USB cable? Mine came with one.

    Dripping...

One came with mine, but since it looks like this was a hand packing job I would guess they just missed it.

Correct, no USB cable. No documentation. One AM21 wrapped in bubble wrap stuffed in a fed-ex box (that had a hole in it, but AM21 was not damaged).

    Carl

Edit: The hole wasn't big enough to extract a USB cable through.

Our first batch had the USB cable. Someone must have forgotten to put it in the box.

besides the Box being soaked from the snow, mine only came with bubble wrap, 1 USB cable and the AM21. didn't have any user manual.

I think FedEx has so much stuff to deliver they can't be bothered with signatures OR doorbells.

I got no manual or documentation at all. I did get the USB cable. Where do I get some docs?

...all running fine, thanks to some tips from Raven.:)

my 6 year old daughter would disagree with you on that. the bubble wrap didn't have enough air inside to make any pop's for her...

It's all good here! I had to stop with some buddies after work to celebrate a Friday afternoon, but when I got home I hooked it up and everything went just fine. The SL's that used to be on SD channels are all modified to OTA, etc.

No kidding on that one! My girls (6 and 2) were hammering on those on the kitchen floor. Unfortunately for them, hardly any popped.

I"m sure we will see a good write-up from the participants, but we usually get a "pre-release" manual or brochure...which is important, as they almost always have errors.:)

I got the url to the pdf file, in any case. All is well with the AM21/HR21-200 to this point. I now can use two tuners for the first time...I'm short one run to my dish, so with OTA now on, I can record two shows at a time, as long as no more than one is from satellite.

When swm becomes mainstream, I'll have to go that way.
