Last week after the CE I could get the UP to show up...very slowly...but couldn't do anything with it. I sent a diagnostic report about it at the time. This week I have a new problem, the UP shows up very quickly except it is empty. I tried to send a report and get an error that it couldn't send it. I have checked system test to make sure it is connected and I have rerun network setup and every time it says I am connected to the network and to the internet. Anyone have any ideas.

BTW, MRV is working between my HR21 and HR20. It is just the H21 that doesn't want to play. They are all connected via DECA.

My H21-200 will have a "empty" playlist, but I've noticed there is an arrow down at the bottom as if there is more to the playlist. I use the channel down and find my playlist.
    Just sent this report: 20090705-3B22

I did try that once...I'll go try again, because I did notice the arrow down there.

Nope, that didn't work...it just sat there staring blankly at me.

I guess it's time to try this on another network connection and see if it's the "lovely CE" or something else.
I almost wrote a novel in the H21 discussion thread about what does and doesn't work.

I have one H21-200 in the DECA cloud, and one H21-200 not. Each on a different SWM-8.

Both on 0x032F. Both the same. MRV slow, slow, slow, and unusable. Same as last week. Just figured they didn't get a chance to fix the issue, with the short Holiday week. Looking forward to Friday.

Same here, I have 1 H21 on DECA and 1 H21 that is hardwired.
    Both have the same problems.

I wonder what the difference is here. My H21-200 was originally a beta test unit. When the network/MRV was turned on in the CE, the original box that was a beta test unit did not have a MAC address on the port and it was replaced.

Mine is working very well, knock on wood!

It's certainly sounding like there may be a firmware issue on the -200, as I am not seeing those things on my H21-100 unit.

I have completely given up on further attempts to use my H21-200 this week. It is extremely slow to respond to remote imputs, no attempts at getting the playlist to populate consistently have been successful, and it likes to lock up when I get frustrated and send it too many inputs (the receiver probably interprets my inputs as cussing it out which is an accurate interpretation on its part, and then chooses not to play anymore. :grrr: Already posted about the slowness of the H21-200 in the CE thread since I am convinced the CE is the problem and not the DECA attached. On a happier note, the last CE seems to have really helped improve speed on my HR21-100's slowness...hopefully D* can engineer a similar improvement on the H21-200's.

Edit: Hard to give up on something, so I just disconnected the DECA from the H21-200 and reconnected the receiver to my home network. Needless to say...same results as with DECA...Playlist incredibly slow to come up and does not populate and slow to exit from. I replaced the DECA, but won't get much testing with the H21-200 not functioning with MRV the way it used to.

What's interesting this week for me is that the playlist window pops up fairly quickly unlike last week where it would take forever and sometimes not come up at all. It just is blank no matter what I do, and I can't send a diagnostic report. The receiver says it is connected to the network and internet, and I have rebooted and re-ran network setup multiple times to no avail.

OK, so I unplugged power for a few minutes and then tried again. After rebooting the speed I was seeing when going into and out of my blank playlist is gone...still blank but now it takes a minute or 2 to show up and to go away when exited. Now I can do a diagnostic report again, so here it is.

I kinda did what you did... Thought I would give up on it, just understand that my H21-100 wasn't going to be any good for me, (I know it's not a DECA thing but a CE code thing) and yet I go back and test!!! Kinda funny how willing we are to test these things!! :)

Anyways.... MRV is still doing ok and today after a restart I still can't open folders but got both DVR's to show up.

MRV has been pretty much unusable for the last 2 CEs on my H21-200. Hitting list cause about a 20 second delay pulling up the list and it is hit or miss if the list is populated or if it is blank. I can not get a show to play if I do get a populated list. Resets do not fix the problem.

Spanky - at this point, would it not be worth shutting down the entire system, including DECA, and "cold booting" everything?

Seems you have nothing to lose at this point.

Obviously, there are some -200 issues, as you and several others have uncovered them.

Per Tibber's post, it seems this does some wonderful things to re-establish network connections.

Those pictures are exactly what my H21-200 look like. I did a full system reset, and actually got the H21-200 to display the LIST screen correctly, but it was empty.

Prior to the system reboot, My HR22-100 also displayed that overlay when hitting LIST, but the system reset fixed both DVRs. Nothing Ive tried has fixed MRV on the receiver. All do work with mediashare.

Yes I intend on doing that this weekend. I have to go in the attic and I will only go up there in the early morning. We have been having some heat waves here that I refuse to participate in [AC turned down to comfortable level]. That will be when I do the homework assignment too! :)

Funny thing about this whole thing is that after rebooting the H21-200 to try and get the LIST function back, the DECA units at the H21-200 and HR21-200 turned Green on the C.LNK LED. This is a first in my hook up. I still need to check the C.LNK LED on the HR20-700 and the uplink DECA connected to the PI and see if they are Green now.

Let's hope that this H21 Playlist problem is overcome by events, like a new CE tomorrow. :)

    Strange indeed....

In my case, after the full system reboot...everything was Green on all DECA C.Link LEDS, until I hooked up the H21-100 here...then all of them turned Orange. Weird stuff huh...
