The next season of Mythbusters will be the last. They were told ahead of time, so the whole season was designed as the last one.

I actually got tickets to see them next month when they come to town. They'd billed it as Jamie's last road tour, but guess it will be the big farewell tour.

I'm looking forward to the new cement truck explosion, that original one had a very satisfying sound.

I personally think they should have wrapped it up several years back..

What did they expect when they dumped Tory, Grant and Kari?

A lower cost show that could last longer. It was either ditch them or cancel the show 2 years ago.

I did not like the theme shows where they did myths based on a particular show. I preferred myths that were more than proving that special effects action could not be done in real life. Some of the myths that the B team did seemed to be more reality show tricks ... stupid human tricks playing to camera instead of science. My wife and I skipped the gross out myths ... and she didn't like the blow stuff up myths. Often the myth had to be created to rationalize doing the experiment.

Maybe, but I would guess a lot of viewers only tuned in to see Kari. No Kari, fewer viewers and that rarely works.

I personally don't think Kari was the ratings grabber you give her credit for.

perhaps no just her, but the entire group as a whole gave the show that extra spice..

The B team were the everyday folks doing experiments. It freed up Adam and Jaimie's time and allowed the show to double the number of experiments and do things Adam and Jaimie would not want to attempt. Without the B team there are less experiments and Jaimie has to get out of his comfort zone more often with the role playing/silly stuff.

The first season was the last for me. I saw how wrong they were in several cases and decided it was more like a live action Inspector Gadget type sight gag sketch series.

About the only reason I saw for their existence on the show was to do things which Jamie nor Adam wanted to do?

I personally think the show missed a whole sector of things that should have been tested long before testing movie myths.

Keep the remote in your hand for episode 1.

You know how annoying it is when they return from a commercial and recap the last segment for 30 seconds?
Well this episode is a pre-cap of the upcoming shows that lasts the whole hour.
Way to go guys, that kills one contractual episode.

My recording doesn't even show a regular episode number. It is listed as "episode 432". Season 11, episode 1 airs next Saturday.
