Egad..the TNT announcers suck!
Makes ya wish for DJs return doesn't it. if you are a Smoke fan, definitely team audio. Switch when yellow flagged if you want to know what is happening.
Why does Smokes channel only have two screen views. Gordon and Montoya have three, Burton and Smoke have two. What gives???? Can you fix it please, pretty please.
because Smoke has no chance of winning........
I'm having real bad video freezes, sometimes twice a lap, on Smoke's channel.
Boy, some people just don't appreciate talent when they see it. Regardless, Smokes channel is only showing two screens, not three.
Smoke was smoking back to 10th. During Red flag I did turn to Hotpass to listen to what was happening. At least Artie keep Hermie at bay. Sheeze, there is Hermie now giving kudos to Artie saying how he, Hermie, is an experienced broadcaster. Not.
Only complaint DTV wise is the two screen view. Horrible. Next week will be better I hope.
1. Hermie Sadler is a moron, dimwit, retard, etc...
2. Harvick is a F*#$ing Dumb$&#!
3. DirecTV's timing and scoring was WAY off at times today. At one point we were listed as 3rd when we were 5th, and off at other times too.
4. Multiple, at least once per lap, video freezing issues.
With the exception of #2 these are just more reasons to not renew next year...
1. DITTO ... note to Speed and DTV - Hermie is not an experienced broadcaster. Running his mouth does not qualify. Pay DJ the money.
2. Not the first nor will be the last time that Harvick has done and will do this. Waiting for the day someone does him in return.
Webber is bad but I like Wally and I really like Kyle Petty.
Just be glad Rusty is out at ESPN.
Did ESPN get smart and dump Rusty?
as far as nascar broadcasting goes.. FOX is #1.. NBC is bad.. espn is flat out dismal..
Artie did a good job on Smoke's channel today. I was sad we got stuck with Hermie in the pits instead of Wendy. The overall audio volume was still way too low, the scoring system seemed completely borked, maybe it is made for left turns only and all the rights threw it off. TNT threw in WAY too many commercials, for a good long while it was 3 minutes of race, then commercials, lather, rinse, repeat.
It sure seemed worse than this but here's a brief commercial breakdown of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 for a full breakdown go to www.cawsnjaws.com
Total number of commercials: 118
Total number of companies or entities advertised: 45
Total number of brief promos of products/services during the race broadcast: 25
Total number of companies or entities advertised in brief promos or crawlers: 24
Total minutes: 211
Minutes of race broadcast: 157
Minutes of commercials: 54
Number of missed restarts: 0
Number of mystery cautions (no debris shown): 0
Number of times selected drivers were focused on:
Boris Said – 3
Max Papis – 5
Scott Pruett – 19
Ron Fellows – 21
Casey Mears – 23

Kurt Busch – 32
Elliott Sadler – 43
Jimmie Johnson – 47
Dave Gilliland – 57
Tony Stewart – 68
Jeff Gordon – 71
Kyle Busch (race winner) – 89
however I haven't had time to see how it compared to the other network broadcast. I'll put thhat in the todo list ..
He will be at the desk with Brad but not up in the booth. Dale Jarret is taking his place.
We won't have to suffer with him when ESPN takes over Sprint Cup, but he's still doing Nationwide races.
Watched Tony's channel yesterday and except for Hermie, was pretty happy with everything. Did wonder about only two screen views but whatever. Not feeling like we will renew HotPass next year. I realize they can't please everyone (except for Jr. fans) so that's hot a huge issue with me, I'm just not sure the cost is justified. I'm thinking of muting the TV and just listening to MRN and seeing how that works since I hate all the TV announcers.
One can only hope. I'm resigned to Smoke's bad luck season. At this point Kyle seems unbeatable and on a mission to prove something to Mr. Moneybags Hendrick for kicking him to the curb in favor of Golden Boy.
Was listening to Harvick's radio when this happened. There was wheel hop and he just lost control.
The guy lost 4 spots in the standings because of this. Do you think he did it on purpose?
No, Harvick clearly did not do that on purpose. Not that time.
I guess I can deal with that. DJ is better than Rusty, that's for sure.
On purpose? No...
Because he tried too hard and wasn't using his head? Most definitely!
