I seem to remember there was a National HD feed of CW in the listed channels when I 1st began looking into moving to D* a few months back. I don't see it now is there one available or was this just my imagination? Sorry for all the questions, but I can get a quicker response by posting here than waiting on phone with a CSR ;)

    Tim
PS: If there is what do you to do to qualify for it?

There isn't, I've been bitching about this forever. CW is an odd duck and it looks like the only way to get CW-HD is locally.

My DMA gets the HD locals this month, but The CW most likely won't be HD since it's only SD on a sub-channel now.

Will we get the CW at all then if it is on a sub channel?

I live in the Nashville TN area and we have our local CW channel in HD, but missing the final local channel in HD of MyTV30.

All others are available. We have our local CW in HD, so I'm sure that others in other parts of the country do also.

What I am saying is that if we get it, it will be in SD. :) But, I've heard that DirecTV doesn't provide subchannels. Then what will DirecTV do with our NBC channel which is also a subchannel (albeit in HD)?

Ok, this is kind of weird, but, I was just looking at my guide and show the DTV CW Feed and my OTA CW Feed, both showing King of Queens HD airing tonight. I set my DVR to record the DTV feed. Will post up later tonight if it shows up in HD.

DirecTV does provide some subchannels, especially major network affiliates.

I suspect that will be the case for our NBC affiliate. Just wish they would provide it in 1080i as the sub channel is 720p.

Both NBC and CW are 1080i in LA. I would imagine it is the same for most all of the NBC and CW affiliates that are on a Primary (not sub-channel).

In the Greenville NC market we get the CW in SD because it is a subchannel of our CBS station. We also get CWe ch 394. We also get one of our pbs sub channels UNC Explorer channel .

    Southern...
CW on 394 is the national feed for CW. The channel came up in a search for the Philadelphia Mummers Parade on January 1. Of course it's not available to me in California, where about six stations all broadcast the Rose Parade, including the CW affiliate here. :nono2:

However I managed eventually to find some of the Mummers String Band performances on YouTube via DirecTV.

Not worth the trouble to put up an FTA dish just for one channel. :)
