In my guide also. Wonder when and NFL or NHL game will show up in 4K, maybe Super Bowl?

No chance of the Super Bowl. The local stations would scream bloody murder if the network showed a national version that cost them viewers for the local commercial time they sell on it.

Yup local stations own rights to games and over air network show.

How about HDR? In my opinion, improvements from HDR are more noticeable than from 4K

Perhaps, but who watches a rerun of the Super Bowl?

Spoken like a guy that's never had his team win a Super Bowl! ;)

I never get tired watching the NY Giants in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI.

Look at the Olympics. And super bowl gets massively higher ratings...

I also have the XXI and XXV broadcasts on VHS. Might be the only reason I keep that machine around.

but would ratings matter for a rerun, specifically the super bowl.

From the few minutes I watched the Nuggets vs Bulls game looked pretty softish for 4K UHD. Like there's quite a bit of upconverting going on. Still an improvement over the NBA TV broadcast but not quite up to 4K par for me.
