Perusing the 4K UHD Programs (sub-category "Documentaries") in the "Search & Browse" menu today, and some interesting things came up. There's quite a few network shows (CBS, ABC, USA, etc...) That are in there, along with a couple of Netflix only shows (Stranger Things & Fuller House in particular). Is DTV working on some sort of Netflix accessable deal? Are some Network shows 4K this season?

Very interesting. I always wondered if something like that was possible. I have such low bandwidth I can't stream anything so Netflix is not an option. This could help them reach many people like me.

I dont have a 4k tv but did a search and Fuller House showed up and all it says for it is: There are no matching programs at this time. Maybe you might be right about netflix. Hope they add netflix and we get it for free or at a disscount. I wot have to pay extra for it.

If it is added, it will not be free. It would be like the Apple TV is adding Amazon to it's capabilities. You can play Amazon Prime stuff on the Apple TV but you have to subscribe to Amazon Prime to do that.

im sure D*/ ATT will come up with something.
a lot of cable co's are doing a thing now where if you switch to cable you get netflix free for 1 year.
not to mention on the wireless side TMO is doing a netflix promo thing.

i think optimum and comcast currently have a netflix promo. also comcast just added netflix to their X1 interface

    Netflix on X1 by XFINITY®

(not promoting cable, i hate cable, but just stating sharing some research i have found)

Dish has Netflix on the Hopper3 and Joeys (I'm not sure about other Hoppers) tunable by selecting channel 370, but it is still an app that streams through the Internet and you have to be separately subscribed. I doubt that DTV would do it any differently.

Or Netflix is going to allow them to sell these as on demand viewing... kind of like releaseing them on dvd at bestbuy.

Should be interesting to see if anything comes of this.

    Sherman...
My guess is that the listings provider's "coming soon" data feed includes all upcoming series, including those on over-the-top streaming services, and DirecTV isn't properly "stripping" some of the Netflix series out of the feed.

We used to be able to get listings for upcoming theatrical releases (with descriptions, posters, cast and crew, etc) in our D* DVRs. I think those went away some time ago.

Maybe neither here or there, I just remember that feature from a while back...

Actually, you could put those in your que and they would record to your DVR when they where availed as PPV...

Stranger Things is not showing on my mom’s HR24. Was the search done on a Genie?

I had something strange on my smart TV today. When I had launch Netflix ( I am a subscriber) there was a display looking for genie 2? It may have been a fluke or what. But this was the first time I had seen this. This is the same TV that my 4k directv box is attach.
