do you have a genie 2? HVe you setup RVU on it? What brand tv is it? My guess is it was looking for the genie 2 as either an RVU server or a media server, because they show up on smart TVs especially if the smart tv is an RVU tv.
Netflix and DirecTV should make a couple of linear 1080i HD channels of Netflix content that you only get if you subscribe to both Netflix and DirecTV. This sort of defeats the purpose of Netflix, but it would reach people who have limited bandwidth and want to watch Netflix Originals, as they would just run straight and you could DVR them. DirecTV supposedly has a ton of bandwidth, so it seems like it wouldn't cost much to let Netflix take a couple of channels, and it would be an added perk/offer some more content. They could set it up to only do Netflix Originals so as not to compete with higher packages/ other channels with syndicated content.
Why not go 1080p on those linear channels?
comcast has Netflix VOD with the X1 boxes Directv can at least do that.
Comcast can at least use their internet services to connect to Netflix on their hardware. Unless if DirecTV can find a way to do something similar since their On Demand requires internet I can't fully see it happening. I could be wrong however.
Yea Comcast and Cox just added Netflix to there STBs. I imaging altice 1 box is next as it's same software .
Come on D* / a t t let's get this added
