New annoying blue box

    That’s old actually. Turn off tips in the settings menu I think it’s under video settings somewhere.

    Probably got reset after an update...

    I don’t think thats the recording tips box. Thats the box that pops up when you highlight the channel number.

    That is correct. It appears for five seconds after highlighting the channel number then vanishes.

    When I go to the Guide, it only does that if I go the the left and highlight the channel number. And it only does it on the first channel #. If I move up or down to another channel, it doesn't do it. I have to exit the Guide and go back into it and then go left to get that to show back up.

    And when I open my Guide, it is on the current show. I very rarely go to the left to see what the Channel # is.

    Perform a CLEARMYBOX. This will clear the guide data database.

    Sometimes it gets stuck, like you showed. The only way to make it stop is a reboot, as you discovered.
