These look like the same layout as the 700, which I have and I really like.

It looks really nice. Wonder how many components it'll handle?

    Correct.

The 650 is up for pre-order at Amazon.

I ordered the 650 the other day. Should I expect any issues or quirks with a Harmony remote as far as operating my HR20?

I had no problem at all setting up my HR20 on my Harmony. I did create a Todo list macro on mine, it's one command too long so still have to hit the last OK.

All harmonys have a 5 step limit on sequences (macros), except the 900 and 1100 which can't do sequences at all. But you can always learn several commands in raw mode to get around that.

I use a {MENU/DOWN/DOWN/DOWN/ENTER} sequence to get me into the Manage Recordings screen, that's only one button push away from the to do list. It works.

I admit that I had no idea about these macros. Nice bonus.

According the USPS tracking, my new remote will be waiting for me when I get home. I am looking forward to getting it set up and functional. Having play and pause on the same button will be nice. No more of my clumsy thumb hitting the Active button while trying to press pause.

This Harmony 650 is awesome. The set up was easy and the DVR features work perfectly.

Did you upgrade from another harmony? If you did, I'm wondering if it kept all your devices. I've seen reports of 700's going more than 6 devices if the one you upgrade from had more than 6. I'm hoping the 600 series behaves the same way. The 5 device limit is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on one. If I can keep the 12 I've got now, that would be great.

1st Harmony remote for me. 5 device limit not an issue for me at this time.

After having this remote for a few days I still like it but there are a few things that are kind of annoying.

-The list button is way up next to the display screen.
    -There is no dash button.
-If the remote drops from my hand or the sofa to the floor I have to go through a bunch of test screens.
-Slow-mo is kind of tricky. Keeping the play button pressed doesn't really work.

-You can make any button you want be 'List' through the Logitech software. It allows full customization. I use the button below the 7 as 'List.'
-The '-' is in the database and can be added anywhere, too.
    -You're clumsy. j/k ;)
-I'm not sure I can help here.

+1. Put any functions on any buttons you want.

HERE's how to add slo-mo and other long press commands (skip to tick, jump to start/end). Or you can add the pronto hex yourself HERE once you're logged in.

If you tend to drop your remote a lot, your harmony won't last long. Anything with an LCD is pretty delicate. You may be better off with something cheaper and more robust like the RCA RCRP05B. You can also program it from a PC with an optional cable and assign any function to any button and do learning and 15 step macros/activities. You can throw it across the room and it won't miss a beat.

Sounds like I need to get dig into the owners manual and get this thing set up correctly.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I ended up making the blue button the list button and the + button the dash button. The sequence for to do list didn't take. Not sure why.
