It looks interesting, but it doesn't say existing customers don't have to extend their commitments:

But I'll try it to see what the fine print beyond this page says.

EDIT: Well, I clicked through but no further fine print and I can't tell anything because I already get HBO and Starz and this will be a future credit.

Yeah, I figured as much, I was just confirming. It stinks. But I guess I can't really complain, I'm getting (nearly) all the HD channels for 29.99

Just to let you know, if you have Dish Family, you will not be able to receive this promotion.

I just got off the phone with Dish and they said I didn't qualify because I already had the promotion one time and it's only allowed once per account.

    Anyone else hear similar?

This is a followup to my post above.

I went to the "offers" link on "My Account" page on March 6 and today under "Activity Since Last Statement" there are two of three credits for $20 each.

We already had HD (Silver), and already subscribe to HBO, Showtime, and Starz plus Cinemax for 1¢. At the time I subscribed to HBO, Showtime, and Starz, I didn't get any deals back then.

Assuming they don't take it away, I'm a happy camper!:D

By the way, thank you retiredTech for catching the ad and starting this thread!

I have SD Bronze 100. I got this promotion in my offers.
I know the ad is promoting HD.
But if you read the requirements, you do NOT have to have HD,
but rather a qualifing package such as SD Bronze 100.
(also I had the free HBO & Starz promotion last year *that required a commitment* and STILL qualified for this one.)

Thanks for the navigation. I tried to find it last night and couldn't, my current promo ends in April so hopefully I will be able to sign up for this after that.

My Mom has Dish Family and she was sent a large postcard offering her this promotion along with the $10 loyalty rebate.

If I am not mistaken the fine print will say that the lowest qualified english package is the classic bronze 100. The loyalty credit would be a valid promotion for her package but not the HBO/Starz.

EDIT: Actually it's the lowest qualified standard definition package that would qualify.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. When I got it a few days back, I did it from the website (again in "My Offers") rather than calling in. Just one click of the mouse and it was up and runnning within a half hour.

This was after it had expired when I got the same offer when I upgraded to HD
