If I click on the list, and FILTER to DirecTV Cinema OnDemand, I get 501 titles.

I did not realize it was that many...

I agree with you mdavej, I would think D* will start to add movies pretty soon to existing PPV channels to eventually reach the 400 or close. I cannot imagine D* will have 400 PPV channels but will start putting multiple titles on the same channel so people will have access from the satellite.

THIS part, where the CEO says "later this spring...we'll immediately expand our pay-per-view offerings to nearly 400 titles". Spring has come and gone, and I want my 400 PPV.

Recent televisions are not made as well. So I expect the conversion over to HD to be rather quick. But of course there will be the diehards. These people are still using rotor-dial telephones.

No you don't. You just want to start arguments & have something to nitpick.

Sure hoping FSC-HD and FSC+ HD in time for the start of EPL season. All games this year will be shot in HD with certain games in 3D

I did a filter & still see alot of duplicate titles though.

Can u weed out the dups & see the actual # ?

I still think cinema on demand counts in the "up to 400" total.

No, he's right. I'm really just blowing off steam since the festivus is over, and I didn't get any of the channels I was hoping for. I figured with thread lock only a day away, I could vent a little.

I could care less whether there are 400 or 4 million PPV titles or whether they come via sat or internet. I'll never watch any of them.

Of course it does. As I said, it's all "DIRECTV Cinema", be it PPV or On Demand.

If he is looking at a list of 4,000+, then he's not just looking at "Cinema" --he's looking at a full On Demand list, not all of which are PPV (many are "no extra charge" depending on your level of service/premiums).

PPV and on demand must be for true die hard movie addicts. If you wait just a little while, those same movies will show up on HBO, Showtime, etc.

CEO (5/6/2010): "And later in the summer, we'll introduce our enhanced DIRECTV Cinema service, which will greatly expand the number of on-demand and Pay Per View movies we offer our customers."

But a movie you like might be on HBO, another on Starz, another on Skinemax....its easier to get just the specific titles you want on directv cinema.

& if you had all those premium channels then your probably a movie fanatic anyways.

+ cinema 1080p does OAR....HBO, Starz, Skinemax dont.

    Cedar Park,...
I would assume that the reference to 400 titles would refer to the cumulative total available during the summer as more listings are added each month. Just a guess.

What about the Demand 3D channel on 105? I thought it was going to be added by the end of June also... for a total of 4 3D channels.

    -Thanks
