that's gonna be on TBS in a few months.
Will it be in elstretchemundo?
According to the Newsletter insert in this month's bill it appears that TeleFutura-HD will be added to ALL DTV subscribers, not just "Mas" packages.... They're listing it as coming to Channel 74, not 408 where it was recently added as part of "Mas".... Does not say whether it's the East or West feed...
Since this Newsletter does not cover or list the "Mas" networks, I'm assuming this means that DTV is adding TF-HD to everyone when D12 goes online.... (The Newsletter announced this as part of the list of the first 20 new HD channels to be added in May/June---- no surprises in the List except this one.)
That's odd. I wonder why they would mirror it nationally in the 70's when the Univision is still in the 400's?
When?? What day exactly, please.
A Wednesday in the near future.
The DTV Newsletter says "New DirecTV Channel Line-Up" under "Channel News" for May/ June 2010.... It elaborates further by saying:
"Just check the Channel Lineup below for all the new HD channels coming soon, and all the existing channels we're moving around to make room. More HD is on the way, compliments of DirecTV."
The new TeleFutura-HD listed on Channel 74 appears alphabetically between TeenNick and the Tennis Channel, the first time this occurs in their official national line-up (the one published every month in Access Magazine and now replicated in this Newsletter)....
I asked Sixto in his DTV Transponders thread whether this version of TF-HD might be coming in MPEG 2 HD given that the channels in the 70's previously housed the old MPEG 2 HD's.....This one's going on Ch. 74...
Since TF-HD currently on Ch. 408 is using no bandwidth from D10 or D11 (it's on the "Mas" satellite), could they be trying to further "save" HD bandwidth by re-using the MPEG-2 HD spaces still available.....
Also, it's not clear whether this is "mirroring" the TF-HD west feed on 408; the Newsletter doesn't say east or west, just TF..... It could be the east feed (for all subscribers) to complement the west feed already carried for "Mas" subscribers....
Channel 74 in my guide is SHOP Infomercial Channel (74). Also have 71 (JTV), 77 (SALE), and 78 (LOOK).
Hopefully they add HBO Comedy soon too as I'm missing my re-runs of Eastbound and Down as they are shown only on that channel while the season 2 is filiming now.
Also not nesc. a new channel but its getting a little old to NOT have HBO On Demand. Doesn't take a Sat to provide this content last time I checked, and its prob. a contract lying around holding it up like most things. i know they take time to do but lets get the OnDemand for the channels we get and offer it. Likely not high on DirecTV list of things since its not a $$ maker like the PPV's are though.
No, original shows like Lopez Tonight and baseball are filmed in full 16:9 1080i. Only older shows like reruns of Saved by the Bell are shown stretched.
OK DIRECTV, I finally changed my avatar, now light up Travel Channel HD. This month will be just fine!
I dont speak spanish and I have no interest in spanish programming. I wish there was a way to shut those spanish channels off and get a small rebate on my bill.
You mean like a la carte? DirecTV doesn't do that except for a handful of channels. (BabyFirstTV, Playboy, Fox Soccer Plus).
A la carte is channel by channel. I'm talking the whole block of stuff that comes with choice xtra by default.
That's basically the reverse of a la carte. Most people probably only watch 5-10 channels on a regular basis. If they gave everybody money back for channels they don't watch they'd go broke in a few months.
I noticed from many posts on anticipated new Hd ch and seems the majority of the new channels will be "premium" channels.
How many can we anticipate for non premium?
