I'd wager all of my money...and yours...that 5/19 is not missed.
I had U-verse & one Saturday we had no TV from 4AM to 5PM when a tech came and re-wired everything. The next day I ordered Dish again. U-verse's DVRS are complete junk! BEWARE of U-verse!
DirecTV has put bogus charges for service visits on my bill Ive had 2 in my life (since 2005) one for my install and 2nd one (2008)for my HD 5LNB ive had phantom orders Ive had to clear with them to verify I'm in NYC not New City in upper NY also had to re-itterate even if they were valid i have the service plan I pay for..They've sent me empty boxes for their SD recievers they want back 4 years after the fact...sorry Hoosier if im skeptical to see them meeting any deadline..Like ESPN U. HD..yeah sure that deadline was met..:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
For sure he is holding his wallet now.
....watch out...here comes some common sense: ESPNU HD was scheduled to be added once D12 was fully operational. D12 was delayed...hence the reason why ESPNU HD was delayed. It's a fairly simple concept.
Five new HD channels will be added the morning of 5/19...there is no doubt. Also, the addition of channels is in no way connected to your billing issues. I don't really understand why, based on billing issues, you would doubt the addition of these channels on 5/19 when it has already been confirmed by Satelliteracer, DirecTV, and actual data in Sixto's thread.
There's always tomorrow still...
If no solar flares coming.
What about BBC, AMC, IFC and Sundance? Do you know anything about these yet?
you are absolutely right...billing issues have nothing to do with forward progress..
I agree ......But until it's on the bible...Directv.com
you can play politics and fly the Directv flag on your lawn :sure:....I can be skeptical and sour puss till then..
...it is on their website.
a start date?
...and in the mailer I got today with my bill.
so there is something in print that says 5/19?
around the time I joined DTV i was submarined almost from day 1 into going paperless so I dont get anything in the mail...just email alerts sucking up my money...so any flyer (if it exists) they didnt kill a tree to send it to me..
You never did place a wager...
and you never answered if 5/19 is set in stone IN PRINT anywhere either...
Print Sixto's satellite Guide data analysis. That's the best you can do.
It is in print. You've also been told that 5/19 is the live date for the first five channels by a representative with DirecTV and you can view the actual data in Sixto's thread for yourself. Basically...there is nothing to question.
So, what is your wager?
To quote a wonderful movie: "That's a childish evasion".
(Movie came first, then the offer of a wager above, then the request for "in print.")
Where is it there ?
1st of I respect everyone's input here..this is a valuable source of info for me since I got Satellite TV, mainly HDTV...didnt really join up here till 2008 when I got my HD..
I read many posts here...and on Facebook...
I also read english...Im no scientist..Sixto's report reads for those that can read code...I was your average B+ C student in school...I didnt 4.0 rock straight A's..so I have to read things a bit thoroughly a few times...
fact remains there is no print touting a 5/19 light up date...I learned the difference between on service & in service through a hillarious sky is falling video a month back. 5/19 is still a guess....so thats why im a pessimist
