Hence, that was our recommendation and since the OP is in a MPEG4 area, that SD receiver will be automatically upgraded to a HD receiver at no cost.

Thanks Merg. Exactly what I'm planning to do. :) Excited to be able to see all the extra channels for nascar, golf, etc.. :)

    Thanks HoTat2 :)

Have the install set for the 23rd. :) Decided on the following:

    3 HD receivers
Put down 1 SD receiver, but anticipate it being upgraded to another HD receiver.

I also stated that I wanted a pole installation. Hope an inch or two of snow won't hurt the install?

Again, thanks for all the help :)

Anything I need to do before the install on Monday?
I'm hoping the current wiring in the house is sufficient. It's RG6, but it's only swept to I believe 1 or 1.5GHz.

I have 2 spots I've picked out for the pole mount. Both easy access to my back deck in case I need to remove snow/ice, etc...

Thanks for any help, suggestions. :)

    Good afternoon everyone!

A question, if I may, about running two tv's off of one box. If I have read posts/information correctly, 1 box is used at what I'll call TV A. Then a line is run from TV A to TV B. Is this correct?

You can also use a RF modulator. If you use rca cables into the modulator (from reciever) and coax out (to TV B) that will work. It will not be a HD signal but will still be clear..

HD boxes dont have an RF out. HD GUI menus wont output on non-HD outputs, so to get menus, you have to buy a HD to SD (Component to composite) converter for the SD TV, or keep the receiver in 480i SD mode.
