My HR24-500 got 0x0994 last night. It actually hung up my box to dry. As I was unable to turn on the HR24. Had to pull the plug and replug it in. And it was doing its bootup that I notice it had grab the new NR.

My HR24 upgraded on early 6/17. Pandora, On Demand and everything else came back right away and everything else seems to be in order. In past updates I've had trouble getting Pandora and On Demand back. I've always have to do future reboots to get them back. One thing I noticed right away was the "phantom screen saver" has returned. Hadn't seen it for months, and last night after this sw upgrade it popped up twice.

I received the latest NR 0x0994 yesterday and now my HR24-500 is showing that it's temperature is 142 degrees and that has to be wrong because it has been running fine and cool for over a year or more.

So there must be a problem with the NR Software and I wish I could go back to the former Software Version.

Check to see if your fan is running. It could have easily stopped and a coincidence that it appeared now.

Got the update last night. Temp 117. This must be the earliest I ever got an update.

All three of my HR20-700s got it on 6/4.
Temps all normal (all have external "booster" fans) -- 99-113 degrees.
