Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and to DirecTV. I am probably going to be signing up today due to the Multi Room Viewing commercial I saw last night.

I have a question though I have called Directv 4 times already about this and can't get the same answer twice.

I am in zip code 06010 and will be getting the premier package. As a part of that it says I will get the MSG network.

My 2 questions are 1. Will I actually get MSG and 2. Will Rangers and Knicks games be blacked out?

    Thanks so much!!

Using your zip, here's your teams/networks:
New England Sports Network (Ch. 628) - HD Available
    # Boston Bruins (HD Available)
    # Red Sox (HD Available)

CSN New England (Ch. 630) - HD Available
    # Boston Celtics (HD Available)

Yankee Ent. & Sports (YES) (Ch. 631) - HD Available
    # New Jersey Nets (HD Available)
    # Yankees (HD Available)

SportsNet New York (Ch. 639) - HD Available
    # Mets (HD Available)

Looks like you'll need NBA League Pass & NHL Center Ice to see your Knicks & Rangers.

Thanks. But will I get the MSG Network and the games will just be blacked out? Or do I not get the MSG Network at all.

You get the channel and games are blacked out.

Your zip seems to put you on the Boston/New York transmitting border. You should either get MSG/SNY/YES or CSN/NESN.

Yes it's a weird place to live. The town next to me gets all NY news stations. Always hard to figure out.

Interesting you'd get Nets games but not Knicks games. Each league has their own blackout and territory rules.

Check out this blackout FAQs page from MSG about the NY Rangers & NY Knicks games.Even if you qualify for MSG or subscribe to CI or LP, the NY Rangers & Knicks have alot of blackouts in CT,NY State, and southern NJ.
