I see two new channels that are testing. One is HERIC. I would guess Luken's Hero's & Icons"? What is the other STRMS? I have been hoping for Decades, but H&I is also a good one.

Possibly could be start tv or stadium? Start tv is sort of like the sister network to heroes and icons. I see qubo is also on there.

Would be exciting if it was some Diginets, Decades is on my list along with antenna TV and Charge. Dish deserves a high five if they can get more of these!

I have access to Charge! via streaming (free under STIRR). Stadium is free OTA. Antenna TV and COZI are supposed to be coming when the Portland stations start stacking and testing 3.0. That was planed for April 20th, but put on hold because the virus. Decades is available FTA with my big dish, but no DVR to record anything. Portland used to have Decades, but dropped it for Bounce. Not a great choice in my book. Glad to see Dish is adding more diginets! Direct has decided not to add them and at least a couple I know that have Direct wants METV & BUZZR. I told them to switch, but they want the Sports & HBO. I guess a subscriber cannot get everything unless they have deep pockets and can just sub to everything they want. I have read some have both Direct & Dish. Now that gets expensive.

STRMS is a collapsible channel in the guide, and will be used for streaming channels. Notice the (Subchannel EPG) in the uplink listing for channel 290. Also, in the same report, QUBO is SVOD [streaming VOD] with a subchannel mapdown of 290-55. When these become available to the public, it looks like channel 290 will be used for internet-streamed channels, available on Hopper and Wally receivers.

Well, it looks like I will continue watching H&I, Decades, and rest off my big dish. I can get Dish on Demand via the Fire Stick.

The company is Reach High now, formally Luken, that has both METV, H&I, movies, etc.

Correct. If you go to channel 810 there is now about 18 streaming channels in Spanish. Didn't look at all of them but a few had good HD pictures..

So is this the future? Dish will no longer be adding regular channels but channels only in streaming, and unless a customer has a newer receiver they are out of luck to get them. The Fire Stick does have Dish on Demand, but I cannot stream live channels from that app on Firestick. I have no idea why, as I can stream live channels from other apps.

Most of the international channels are "STREAM" channels now (600 and 700 range). 810 is "Mexico" (13 channels), 811 Sudamerica (12 channels), 812 Republica Dominicana (7 channels) and 813 Espana (4 channels). But there have been a few others.

Absolute statements are dangerous. I'm sure that DISH will add other satellite channels at some point, but the stream only channels have their place. They help add channels to the lineup without the satellite infrastructure.

Very interesting. Since I do not have a Hopper, I have two Fire Sticks with Dish Anywhere. I could never get live streaming on Dish Anywhere on the Fire stick. I just checked and Dish now has live streaming!! In the past I could always get the On Demand material, but any live networks, I got a message saying they were not available on the Fire Stick. I have no idea when that changed. If I click on the guide, not a lot of the stuff is available live though, but at least I get more than I used to.

James is correct. In fact, the very same uplink report that shows QUBO being added as a streaming channel also shows a satellite-delivered version of QUBO. The streaming channels are mostly used to provide HD feeds of niche channels, and other channels that might not get carried at all if Dish did not have the ability to stream them.

This is true, but most customers cannot see these channels in the guide unless they happen to subscribe to them. The 18 streaming channels that dennispap mentioned are the ones that Dish added as an unannounced free preview earlier this week. Here is the list for those who are interested:

    810-10 TLRMO
    810-12 EST5
    810-15 VMKID
    811-01 BLVIA
    811-02 CANLS
    811-03 ECVSA
    811-04 ELTRE
    811-05 EST5
    811-07 RCNNS
    811-08 TELEF
    811-09 TODON
    811-10 VENEZ
    811-12 VMKID
    812-05 TVQUI
    812-06 INTI
    812-07 VMKID
    813-01 VMKID
    813-03 HOLA

Sure hope H&I will be available to the Welcome Pack subs. We get Grit, Laff, Justice, Bounce now but not MeTv and if MeTv is connected to H&I......

Like some people say that you can't get to national fee to me TV if you have a local channel with me TV then you tell me why my dad's able to receive the national feed the Me-TV on Dish network and it's also got a local feed

Which market are your dad's locals from? The availability of the national feed of Me TV depends on whether Dish actually carries the local Me TV affiliate as part of their local package. So, if that market has a local Me TV station that is not carried by Dish, then the national feed should still be available. If your dad is actually receiving both the local Me TV affiliate and the national feed as part of the Dish package, then that seems to be a mistake. (It is also possible that this specific Me TV affiliate is not imposing the same restriction on the availability of the national feed that other Me TV affiliates impose.)
