Greetings! Hope you are having a great week.

Dish Network has posted their first quarter financial results. Basically subscribers are up but net revenue is down. More HERE.

Dish has added locals to Portland-Auburn, Maine and Columbus-Tupelo, Miss. More about those HERE and HERE.

The next step for the Satellite Home Viewer Extension Act will be the Senate Judiciary Committee which will hold a hearing next week. For complete coverage of the SHVIRA, please visit our special SHVIRA Forum.

A la carte programming is gaining more attention in D.C. It seems that the National Cable and Telecommunications Association suggests a la carte would be a disaster, leading to fewer choices and higher prices for consumers as well as less diversity on television. More about that HERE.

Lastly, Wall Street is liking what it sees from DirecTV adding 460,000 net customers in the first quarter. More HERE.
