In a research note released Friday, Tom Eagan of Oppenheimer and Co. said the Cablevision stock continues to be weighed down due to expectations of cash flow losses generated by the company's VOOM satellite operations. But that doesn't mean there isn't an opportunity with the satellite TV assets, the analyst said. More HERE.

AMC-15 is set to launch this Thursday. Dish Network will use this satellite at the 105 degree location. More HERE.

According to the program guide on the DirecTV web site, FOXHD East and FOXHD West will launch tomorrow (October 12th). More HERE.

UPDATE: October 12 12:31 PM CDT
FOXHD was pulled from the DirecTV programming guide but Phil T in this thread reports that it was added to his programming package. So we watch a wait. :)
